Wow, excuse me while I change my shorts!

You can't go wrong with any of them. My preference so far has been David @ CGW

I use a Phantom at home in my nightstand and a SP01 at my office. I've fired thousands of rounds through my Phantom without a single failure that I can recall, and the gun is completely modified.

My TS is finally done (for now)
Removed factory checkering.
Undercut trigger guard and beaver tail.
Hand checkered front & back strap. (30 lpi)
Machine the rear sight 1mm shorter and recut the notch.
Machine the mag release .075" shorter, and re-checker.
Cerakote burnt bronze / graphite black.
Thanks to everyone on this thread that inspired (gave me ideas to steal) this build.
Very nice!

Got my SA back from CGW this week with all the bells and whistles including removing the FPB and David's front and rear sights. Love the trigger! The gun fits my hand better than the TS and I can already tell transitions will be a bit faster. Can't wait to take it out to a local match this weekend. I built this as a backup and because I am sending the TS out to CZC for a bunch of work and needed something while it was gone. Also had David throw in the SRS kit into into the Phantom, which definitely helped the absurd reset it had before. Cell phone pics for now.

Grab a 11.5# hammer spring to play with as well. I have no issues with mine.

Dan Wesson? http://cz-usa.com/products/view/dan-wesson-eco/
The Eco is a little larger & heavier than I would want, plus, I don't know if I would ever carry a 1911.
Shot a Rami at the range, had feeding issues, briefly read some people have issues with them. It's also a very thick and semi heavy gun.
I was thinking more along the lines of a Phantom, with the dimensions slightly smaller than a P01.

Hey CZ, how about a single stack, slim carry gun around the size of a Kahr CW9? One can dream!
-
Unload the gun, put it in your holster, then TRY anyway you can to pull the trigger accidentally (without using your finger of course). That should change your mind

A 6" TS, oh, that would be a dream come true!
-
I have just installed the SLIM hammer in my TS in one word the trigger became " DAMNNNN!!!!!!"
Oh man, can't wait!
-
Would love to hear the results. I think the hammer is very cool and woulc buy it just for that reason.
You guys can now expect my TS at your shop shortly, with that hammer along with it.
-
I bought one. Is it the wide or narrow hammer though?
-
Around 5.5# on my Phantom. 11.5# MS, CGW Ext FP. Sets off any primer
-
^Perfect timing

I prefer the Mecgar mags over the CZ's, give those a try
-
Black ones rust easily compared to any other mag I own
-
I've actually thought of doing the same thing: bobing the 75B hammer down to a little nub and using a 20# hammer spring for a quick snap
The new czechmate hammer is like that and very cool.
I'm waiting for this hammer so I can send my TS to you guys for a bunch of work. ANY idea when it's going to be available?

So a 9 barrel into a 40 TS will work, but not a 40 barrel into a 9 TS? Seems odd, why?
-
M3, are you using a CZC spring and follower in that 75 mag? I get 23 in both. I also have a big stick for both: 29 reloadable in the TS and 28 reloadable in the 75 although I've never tried tuning that one.
I also have a Tanfoglio small frame tube which fits 24, but it's more like 143mm.
Don't have the base pads yet, they are sitting in my shopping cart. But here is the link, says 21 rounds total. Does the CZC follower add 2 more?

I'm also curious, but in the opposite direction.

Over 12k rounds with a SS guide rod, no issues and I don't see any extensive wear anywhere
