  1. Just do it. Buy the JP you'll never regret buying the best.

Your confidence will let you shoot better just knowing that you have as good or better equipment than anybody at the match.

Dial in your zero and the gas block and you are good to go.

Yes a JP is better than your bushy.

They make a great products, and the service after the sale surpasses their product.

    Good luck

  3. A big difference between Browning and a lot of shotguns is the warranty.

Your Grandfather could have bought the Browning and shot the wheels off of it given it to your father he puts many, many rounds through it, he gives it to you and you put many, many rounds through it, you sell it (that would make you a jerk) and the guy that owns it now can still get it fixed under warranty.

You won't get that with a Berreta.

  4. After 3 plus years of trouble free shooting my JP upper, the gas tube gave up the ghost and broke inside the gas block. I tried taking it apart and got almost to the point of getting the gas block over the comp, nope. I called JP sent the upper back with a letter and figured after a week I'd get a call. Nope. I called them they said it should be done on Friday. Cool great turnaround time. Friday rolls around and I'm too busy to call them with my CC# and by the time I did call them it was Thursday of the next week. I called them to give them my CC# and they said the upper shipped out on Monday and you should have it tomorrow.

They replaced the gas block and gas tube and all the labor. I was expecting to pay about $200.00 to get it fixed and shipped back.Nope all covered by them. I've had great success with their upper and a great experience with them with them for this repair. I'll buy another. Great product great company to deal with.

  5. If you want Irons great!! What else needs to be done to promote a reginal/national series? Just adding the irons won't get it started. As for the ca 3 gun series

Without this turning into a defend the CA 3 gun series the winners over the last 3 to 5 years have driven the least not making all the matches. #of shooters is limited to the clubs and ranges. They used to shoot in Sacramento where there is a match this Thanksgiving, that match is limited to 40 shooters.

  6. Could it be time for a 3 gun national series?

3 divisions Open, Scoped, and Heavy Metal?

3 ability levels Professional/Expert, Intermediate, and Novice?

Western Region and Eastern Region with a single final.

Fee for shooting the series is $500.00. Match fees are up to the clubs putting on the matches. The series $$$ would be divided up among the clubs putting on the matches.

The clubs putting on the match get an influx of cash to pay help, buy targets and props or spend as needed to put on a great match.

Start with 3 Western and 3 Eastern matches and a final. The top number of shooters in each class and division shoot for the overall championships in a 7th match.

Series shooters get first shot at entries in all series matches. The rest of the spots are taken by whatever means the club deems appropriate.

Example: For the West it could be SMM3G, RM3G, and Las Vegas. If it is worth an extra $500.00 to shoot one or all of those matches then an extra $500.00 gets you in.

The East could do the same thing with the final at Tulsa.

Lets get the manufactures on board with a real contingency plan so they can increase their business.

Example: Lots of shooters are using Benelli’s but if Remington had a contingency plan in place that paid you if finished in the top 10 in your class/division and you thought you could win or place high enough to collect some $$$ would you still shoot a Benelli and go home with empty pockets?

If you shoot Heavy Metal and Springfield was paying for using a M1A and or one of their 1911’s and Remington was paying would you use them, or would you use an AR 10 platform and a 1911 and a shotgun that wasn’t paying?

It would be nice if pro payback were cash all others are redeemable in merchandise and transferable and redeemable at dealers.

Firearms could be eligible for two years then you would have to buy another.

These are just some idle thoughts with lots of room for improvement and modification.

    Let the flames begin!!!

  7. I had three new to 3 gun shooters in my squad. Rob L. and Francis L. from IDPA across the creek and Darrin is a cowboy shooter from across the creek.

All had a great time and will be comming back.

Burt T. a new shooter to this match is the manager of the Firing Line in Burbank, and Tim K. is the manager of the pistol range at Oaktree Gun Club. Neither are new shooters but just getting/starting their 3 gun shooting.

    Great match Jack and friends.

Thanks for all your hard work.

  8. There was a security guard working for Gavin deBecker that carried his gun in a locked box (legal for travel) delcared it to the ticket agent. Followed all the TSA rules and was arrested to the best of my knowledge the case is still pending. He was traveling through New York had not stayed there he was only using the airport.

I wouldn't travel through New York with firearms.

I'll try to find out where the case sits now.

  9. We're planning a great match this Saturday at Pala. We'll have a minimum of 4 multi-gun stages with one long-range rifle stage. Setup starts at 0730 with sign-ups at 0830 and shooters' meeting at 0900. We hope to be done by 1300. Match fee is $25 with a $10 discount for LDF members.

There's a group of us headed to Raton for the RM3G match in August. We'll be using the IMGA rules to prep (Total Time plus Penalties).

We're also planning another RM3G prep. match for 8/12/06 at Palaso mark your calendars. Directions and maps are on our website at http//www.lineadefuego.org .

    Best Regards,

    Charlie Brown

    LDF Section Coordinator

PS: Wherever you're shooting this weekend it's gonna be hot!! Remember to hydrate big time! :)

I've only been lucky enough to shoot the Pala match one time, but I have shot with the "boys" from Pala many times. They are a great a bunch of guys and the match I shot was well thought out and lots of fun. I have no problem driving the 160 plus miles to shoot with them but I work on Saturdays.

Good luck to all going to the Nationals and make time to shoot Pala you'll be glad you did.

  10. 10 East from L A get off on Ramon Rd. / Bob Hope Dr. go North over freeway turn left at the first light. Go .5 to 1 mile turn right on last street before you run back into desert just past all the buildings go North about 1 to 1.5 miles the road bends to the right but you turn left into kind of a junk yard looking area. Look for a sign for Palm Springs Gun Club turn right the road ends at the range
