  1. I've got to get another La Rue mount. I ran out of Dillo Dust.
  2. www.speedshooters.com seems to drain my wallet for 3 gun accessories.
  3. Its quite possible MGM or R and R might give your club a discount if there is a big enough initial purchase. MGM will discount their targets 10% if they don't paint them. I done business with both companies and they both have been top shelf.
  4. All my guns have a DMW tube. They've lasted me for many years and stood up to the abuse my friends put them through when they borrow my stuff.
  5. Federal from wally world in 3 dram 7.5. Estates 7.5 3 dram Ranger Lo Recoil buck and slugs from Winchester. I always have some 3" buck just in case, along with some spreaders. Almost always a IC choke
  6. I use an IC choke almost all the time. A switch to a Mod if the steel is set hard or long distances. When I use a mod choke I'll also have some spreaders with me for the clays.
  7. I've been to a couple of big match and stages were thrown out it was because the La Rues kept breaking.
  8. If a MD/promoter wants to allow RD in Limited let them do it. After reading another thread on here about Outlaw matches it's pretty plain it's up to the MD/promoter. Put it out there, and see if you build it will they come? If it works maybe others will follow. On the other hand if the match fills up does the MD/promoter care? Lots of posts here about how to make the targets easier for IS shooters to see the targets, paint, banners, etc. Seems like more work for the staff and promoters. What is their incentive if they sell out already? I don't shoot IS and what the MD does makes no difference to me just wondering is all.
  9. Thanks Wayde you did a great job and I enjoyed your series, company and humor. I'll catch up with you and buy the beer.
  10. It's funny how this thread drifted from how do you get more limited shooters to what's wrong with USPSA. I think there's a clue here somewhere.
  11. Pretty good analogy. Here's another the 500 class used to be the premier class in MX. When sales slowed for the 500's and the riders signed up for the 250 and 125 classes the 500 class died. Now you've got more top riders competing against each other. Better for the fans maybe, better for the manufactures, better for the riders that want to make a couple of bucks, and easier for the promoters. The few guys that wanted to race the 500's are disappointed, the few guys (2 at the 3 gun Nationals) are going to be disappointed. The promoters don't have to hear about iron guys not being able to see the targets, they don't have to paint, score another class, or divide up a prize table.
  12. Charles I brought something similar to this up a few years ago, I'm just now getting over the blisters from the flames.
  13. +1 to Kurt the Limited Division in 3 gun has been dead for some time. Now people are accepting it.
  14. If you hear click when your gun runs dry you gun isn't working properly. The gun should hold the bolt back when you're empty. If your gun doesn't cycle fully and you don't get a round in the chamber then pull the trigger you will indeed hear a click. How's the leg Scott?
  15. The barrel mount is longer on the M2 barrel than the M1. The fore end needs to be lengthend where it meets the mount. It's covered up so even if you botch it you won't see it.
  16. If these resetters are pole dance certified put me in for fifty. That would keep Dan busy too.
  17. That specific MSTN rifle uses all "JP" guts !! I did not know that I'll check it out in the morning. Thanks
  18. www.davesmetalworks.com sells a one piece full length tube. He has finished or is about to finish an extension to get it to hold 8 or more shells in the tube. If you are worried about 922r which somebody brought up a full length tube, follower and a Briley choke will go a long way to fix that.
  19. JP mills their receivers towards the rear of the rail, MSTN mills their receivers towards the front. I don't understand why they just don't mill them the entire length. Check your eye relief before ordering either one.
  20. Let them laugh. It makes it sweeter when you one shot the long range targets. As somebody else said know your zero and make sure your guns run.
  21. I have a JP-15 and will be ordering another soon. The rifle that has been winning in the Tac class is a www.mstn.biz. Spendy but effective. They seem to have taken a different approach to building uppers.
  22. How old do you have to be to be in the Senior class? Thanks
  23. If you shoot X3 monthly matches you will have 30 plus round stages with slugs mixed in the middle. The California series will have high round counts and you'll have to use bird, buck and slugs. It's interesting. Carry accordingly.
  24. Wow I didn't know there was such a thing as a nice M3!
