I emailed them this question last week but they haven't responded yet.
I know that Foxtrot Mike was at 3 Gun Nation Nationals all this past week demo'ing rifles. Could be why Paul hasn't gotten back to you. I will also add that Foxtrot Mike was a heavy contributor to the prize table. Support those that support the shooting sports!

Anyone know where the photos are located that were taken at the awards night? Looking for the one with the Double Star Rifle so I can thank Double Star.

Dang stages look awesome! Adding to match schedule for next year.

Thank you Mr. Horner for an awesome match. I would also like to thank all of the RO's who worked the match along with all of the staff at The Rock Castle Shooting Center. Thank you to all the sponsors especially Double Star for being the title sponsor and for donating the Star 15 rifle in .300 BLK to the Task Force Dagger Foundation for the raffle that I won!

What was the longest shot? Was a simple red dot sufficient?
Longest shot was 80-85 yards. A red dot was sufficient. I use a red dot out to 99.5 yards on 6" plates for 3 Gun Nation regionals shooting PCC.

Match was awesome! Mr. Forrest Lucas and the extended Lucas Oil family did an outstanding job building the range for this match. Looking forward to future matches there as improvements to the range are already underway. Stages were great and some of the best were brought in to facilitate the match. Reading through I'll say that the Range Master did a fantastic job and made the right calls that were fair. The prize table ran deep and the banquet after the match was fantastic. Best part was it had no rain during the match!

I'll probably change to Heavy as I'm sure my pal Chris Wiesemann will be working the match as an RO and will be shooting Heavy.

Very expensive match, but looks like loads of fun.......550 rounds!!
$225 is a very reasonable match fee as a major match with that many stages. Most major matches average $275-330. There are a lot of heavy weight industry sponsors coming on board to support the match as well as cash pay outs to the top 5 shooters with 6-XXX walking the prize table. 1st place will get $10K 2nd $5K 3rd $3,500 4th $2,500 5th 1,500 more information can be found at www.facebook.com/pccchampionship/

Is there a new range there that's not showing up on the maps or stages laid out in the natural terrain?
On 8/2/2017 at 11:01 AM, Todd7446 said:Yes, it's a new range. Ten bays were carved out of the natural terrain at the Lucas Cattle Ranch.
Yes and exactly what Todd said ^

I have always wanted to shoot Heavy Metal at this match, are there 9 other crazy people out there that want to as well so we can have the division recognized?
I'm considering Heavy Metal but don't know if my eyes are good enough to shoot it as irons so currently I'm signed up as Tac ops.

I just want to make sure that there is no problem with steel cased ammo (Hornady Steel Match—bullets are just lead/copper). I seem to recall that at some point in the past that was on the no-no list for York.
Hornady Steel Match ammo is ok since it is a lead jacketed bullet. York will not allow steel core or penetrator ammo.

Hope this helps any unanswered questions.

Thanks for the replies all. I did a side by side comparison and decided on the Stoeger P3500 and ordered it in 26" since that's what I'm use to with my A5.
-
I'll look it up when I get home tomorrow and send you the part or item number from brownells.

Need to pick up a pump gun for Heavy Metal. Was hoping to find a used Benelli Nova or Super Nova or Stoeger P3000 or P3500 since it will only be used maybe 2-3 times a year. I found a new Stoeger P3000 in 28" which I wanted the 26". I do not know enough about the Stoeger what can you tell me about it?
Thanks,
George

I would use the barrel clamp and not skip it if you plan on milling the port out a little to make loading deuce and quad loads easier. When you start to do the port work you cut into the threads a little which can cause your mag tube to break off after repeated barrel dumps (happened 3 times that I know of). Invest in the clamp, I have not had issues with shooting slugs and just shot 1 for 1 on slugs at 107 yards in the FL 3 Gun Nation regional this past weekend.

Yes everyone that I know with an A5 uses the Winchester Tornado spring as a replacement. Think they're $5-7 at Brownells.

I've gotten a big NO on this also for 2017 but HMFIC says yes that he spoke to Dave S. at SHOT. My guess is still NO for this year.
