1911luvr, which JP brake did you get?
-
I just installed the Blitzkrieg Components 9mm Hydraulic buffer and JP 308 rifle spring. I have only shot 50 rounds this afternoon, but so far I'm liking it. Very fast double taps at 10 and 15 yards keeping both in the A zone.
-
I ran over 100 rounds today through my new Hiperfire Eclipse. I'm liking it.!!!!! After I got back from the range, I found a new Blitzkrieg Components 9mm Hydraulic buffer in the mail box. Can't wait to try out everything tomorrow.

Wish I would have found that code about three days ago. I ordered the Hiperfire 24 Eclipse trigger. I received it today and just installed it. I fired 19 rounds through it to test function. I think it's going to be a keeper. No creep at all and very short reset. I think it is going to help with split times. Going to take some practice to get use to the fact that there is no take up at all.

Not sure but I think Faxon makes the KAW barrels

Call Gram Engineerig. Bevin Gram will answer the phone and talk you ear off. Very nice and knowledgeable man.

I have the complete Kaw Valley upper. I liked how light the rifle was but had the exact same problem. I was able to load Bear Creek 125's at 1.08 and it ran fine. I was going to team the barrel. Then I saw JP had a thanksgiving sale. I got their 16" 9mm barrel for $136 delivered. That was about the same price as it was going to be for the reamer, handle and cutting fluid. I ran it today in a USPSA match without issue with the JO barrel I was able to load much longer

The OP is making a purchase now. It isn't a "using parts I already have" issue for him.
I was at a local match where one of the Taylor Freelance base pad was used. The shooter was unable to finish the match with that magazine. It failed on two stages before he retired it for the day. I realize this is just one event but after seeing that for myself, I want to try something else. I'm sure others will chime in that theirs have been flawless.

Thanks everyone. That's what I needed to know. Will be ordering TTI base pads today.
-
I thought those springs were for the Glock 17 magazines. I am specifically asking if there is a spring for the 33 round glock 9mm mags or if the base pad will work with the stock spring in the 33 rounders.
-
Sorry if its been covered before but I can't find it. Will the Taran Tactical +5 base pads work with the Glock 33 rd mags with the stock spring or will it need a longer spring. Have run with the 33 rounders in two matches so far. Several of the stages were a 32 round count. At the end of those stages, I either was completely empty or had one left (Go figure???). Luckily I did my part and did not need extra. I just thought it would be nice to have a little insurance. I know about the Taylor Freelance extended base pads and it may be an option.

I have the Kaw Valley 16" barrel. The barrel shoots ting group and I like the light weight. However, I have to load very short. I have been following this post and was going to buy the reamer and handle at Brownell's to ream the barrel
then I was on JP Rifles website this morning. They are having a 15% off Black Friday sale. I was able to buy their 16" 9mm barrel for 147.90 delivered. I figured I will swap barrels and save the cost of reamer, handle and cutting fluid. I'll just sell the Kaw Valley barrel to someone that wants to load short or ream the throat.

I recently got the 5.4 Sight Tracker and I am really enjoying it. I had a custom built 5" non Sight Tracker that I had been shooting for a couple years. GO 5.4 you will not be disappointed.
-
Thanks BeerBaron. I have another custom built 2011 Limited gun on a PT frame and I have to say the build quality of the SV blows it away and I thought that one was a great gun. I have never shot a Sight Tracker pistol before buying this gun. I should have got one a long time ago.

I recently acquired this beautiful SV 5.4" Sight Tracker. Its my dream gun and it shoots like a dream. I got it off the Enos Forum from a very nice member. I have shot two matches with the pistol and I love it.

I have a Cajunized SP-01. I use an extended firing pin and reduced power firing pin spring with the 11.5 lb mainspring. To date, I have used Winchester, Federal, Tula and S&B primers with great success. I think, out of 5000 rounds, only two have failed with the Tula's.

Once you get the correct size Shockbottle gauge, you will wonder how you ever got by without one. Have 9mm and 40 cal.

Sent mine to Bevin for his tuning and his springs and followers. I have two 170 mags and both with work flawlessly with 29 rounds. I think it cost me a grand total of $64 with shipping

DAA Racemaster. Works great. You will need to the SP-01 insert and widen it a little. I used a file and about 5 minutes of work to make it right.

I was in the same boat about a month ago. I need a checker for 1.145 OAL for my CZ Tactical Sport and 1.18 for my 2011. The 40XL works great for either of the loads.

Definitely do not use a Dremel. I use 800, 1500 and 2000 grit sandpaper. It does not take much to eliminate the creep.
-
Also would like to know. I have an case of 135gr Black Bullets on the way and have a lot to Titegroup. My load would be for a Cajunized CZ SP-01 in production.

Mine has the grip reduction along with hand checkering of the front and back strap. It has a burnt bronze cerakote finish. The mag release was shortened and checkered. I have the stock hammer and sear. There was a very very small amount of creep. I was able to eliminate that with a little sanding and polishing of the area where the hammer hook/shelf engages the sear. I doubt you will need any other trigger job as my trigger is a crisp 1.75 lbs.

I run 115gr Montana Golds RN at 1.145 oal over 7.4gr of AutoComp. If I remember right the PF is 171 through my Czechmate. I don't use the JHP for exactly the reasons you are discussing (loading very short)
