How much kinetic energy does a 55gr. 223 have coming out of an 11" barrel? Is it enough to knock down a competition steel target?

Is there a list of manufactures that have agreed to make/sell AWB firearms until the 11th hour? I know CTD, among others, turned on us and in addition to knowing who to stop buying from, I would like to know who to show extra support(ie buy more from) in the future.

That would be awesome...$400 AR's with less than 100 rounds through 'em, $5 Gen 3 Pmags, brass-cased 223 @ $200 a case, no more paying the conceal carry permit tax to bear arms, etc

I saw two striped AR receives sell on a well known website for $1500 each.....wtf, are people tinking ?
we'll have to wait and see how AWB 2.0 does in the legislative branch, then if scotus will let it become law.

What would you prioritize in the face of an AWB 2.0 and in what ratio? I'm thinking 10 mags to 1 receiver is decent. What are your opinions?

Anyone know what exists? I'm thinking the only way to do it would be a Barrett 99 or Bluegrass Viper with flip up irons on the rail. I wish the Serbu 50 or Anzio Single Shot had an iron sight option since they seem like the most spartan designs out there. Chime in below!

I have a SIG 226 model e26r-9-bss with a german frame manufactured in 2009 and I want an identical model 220 from 2009 with a german frame. Anyone know where I can find one?

What's the deal with US barrel length minimum of 16" and the AK mysteriously having that barrel length? Was the barrel length law set by someone that owned an AK? Is the AK barrel length something just past 16" in it's metric measurement (ie 16.5234")?

What do you use to mark your magazines? I want to know what kind of type, what colors you use, if you use a paint, how you cull bad magazines out? I was thinking using a colored duct tape and writing numbers on the tape? Pics welcomed.

X2 to as much as I can afford, with the caveat of no more than I can legally posses without a permit, which varies from state to state and county to county. For example Maryland code says
"(d) Same - Possession of explosives for
use in firearms.
(1) Subject to paragraph (2) of this subsection,
a person need not obtain a license to possess
or store up to 5 pounds of smokeless powder
for the loading or reloading of small arms
ammunition, and up to 5 pounds of black powder
for the loading or reloading of small arms ammunition"
Most other states have a MUCH larger cap, Sacremento city says 50lbs, with conditions.
I'm thankful I don't live in Maryland.

As much as you can afford to save money on Hazmat and shipping.
Exactly this. Unless I am trying out a new powder, don't order in quantities less than 4lbs.
