Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Could a guy send it back to be factory recoated? I'd love to have it chromed.
  2. So far, I've been building them for carry. I could make them for competition with some input and a model to mold off of. I make both IWB and OWB, and retention is handled by the kydex. Usually a recess where the trigger guard is. I'll post some pics if I can figure out how.
  3. My holsters are leather backs with molded kydex fronts, and adjustable cant.
  4. I think they're all stainless, with a coating.
  5. I think you have to disassemble it just like any other. They're just hard to find.
  6. I'm making hybrid holsters, and I have an older Witness with the thicker slide. I'm wondering if my holsters will work with other EAA models.
  7. I've got an older Witness with the thicker slide, and I'm wondering if I can strip off the Wonder finish and just polish it? Its stainless isn't it? I bought it used a few years back, and its definitely seen some use. It had a weird stain by the ejection port that wouldn't clean off, so I had the slide duracoated. He didn't do a very good job, and I'd also like to smooth the corners and edges. I've seen a few race guns on here that look polished. I really like my Witness, I would just like to spiff it up a little. I'd like to find an ambi safety for it too, and run it with 45super ammo. Thanks,
  8. Just got off the phone with EAA, It was brought in in 93.
  9. I reread that thread. I'm thinking its just the serial number on mine. But there's no other numbers anywhere. I took the slide off and theres nothing in the frame either.
  10. I found a thread that listed the year codes, and this one pulled up as a 1979 model. I think its been in somebody's safe for a long time. It still looks brand new. I would like to find an ambi or RH safety for it since I'm left handed. was able to get 13 in the mag.
  11. I need some help identifying a Witness. I picked it up in a trade the other day. It looks like a 40 S&W LMTD, but its only got three mount holes on one side of the frame, and it doesn't say Limited. Any info would be great.
  12. Hello, new guy here. I picked up my second Witness yesterday in a trade, and my online research brought me here. I think it is an older model 40 S&W LMTD, but its only got 3 mount holes on the left side instead of 4, and it doesn't say Limited on the slide. It's in awesome shape, no wear marks anywhere. I think its only been fired a few times, and still has what appears to be the factory grease inside. I would really like to find some more information on it. Thanks
