I am a die hard Race Master fan. I like the new magnetic block as well. For 3 gun the Safariland USPSA kit works great with one of their bodies.

I like how I can hand adjust the tension on the Race Master and the tension device on them is great. I also have a magnet on one of them works great. Buy once Cry once.

Be careful going to slide lock and reloading it is very easy on a 2011 with 140's to over insert and lock the magazine in the gun or break the nose off your ejector. I let a friend borrow my wifes 9mm and he actually locked the slide back when it ran dry and over inserted a mag and I got to buy a new ejector.

Caldwell has a lot of features for the money. The app is really handy. I have used Labradar and Magneto speed and for no more than I chrono it is not worth the money the other 2 options are way easier to setup but I only chrono a few times a year.

I use N320 in a non Comp 45 and it is great. But if you want to generate gas to make the comp work N350 or N340 is the way to go.

On the Redding Micrometer Dies I have switched to these for the seating and crimp dies on most of my high volume rounds and love them. Easy to adjust and you have a scale for reference on how much you are adjusting at once. I sill use a Lee U Die in station one and the Lyman M die in 2 for loading cast bullets. I have a Hodge podge of brands of dies but that is what I have found works best and I have literally used every common brand of die out there

This surprises me on the FC I would expect the same as LC since the same company owns them. Luckily I have a ton of LC that I need to process so I wont have to buy any once fired for awhile.

Make sure to leave a little room and check your loads before a major match even if they worked last time. A friend had to use all of his chrono rounds at Single Stack Nationals a few years ago. He claims he has used the same load for years but different barrels make different speeds.

I have done this before. It is not a big deal you may have trouble finding a slide to fit a frame that has already been fitted depending on how tight you want it. I have seen people buy another slide and it fit perfect and seen where a new slide on old frame was less than perfect. If you are not keeping the original slide just have it milled out. I tig welded the dovetail on one of mine and milled it for the island barrel and after refinishing you cant tell it ever had a front sight in the slide.

How have the Tooth and Nail done on ranges with a lot of handgun? Do the rods get messed up from low shots?

I replaced the factory tube on my SBE with a RCI tube and Nordic follower and that seems to work well. Just a suggestion if you have to replace those parts you might as well upgrade them.

I didn't have any issues with non ramped barrels until I just did a race ready Caspian and the feed ramp was way wrong on it. I am having a lot of trouble with it and am close to just having it ramp cut and changing to a ramped barrel. I think it depends on the gun sometime.

I have a 5" Gans pistol that is a sight tracker and he did a really cool job with some panel cuts on it. I will try to post some pictures of it.

I did not notice that on my DVC but I am going to start looking for that on all the STI slide I buy. I never would have guessed that would happen.

I like the brass punch better than the Dawson Aluminum one. Cleans right off with copper solvents.
-
I had my hammer strut drag on a gun once. I replaced it with a EGW titanium problem solved.

Fenix lights are my favorite. I think they are as good as lights that cost 3 times as much

Midway competition belt great deal for the price I have several for different guns so I dnot have 5o redo them.

I found on most of my inertia guns it helps to run some heavier loads like super sports for a few hundred rounds then they get better. For some reason people think they don't need cleaning but I clean and oil my well used M2 and it will shoot 7/8 ultralights.
-
I sent them a super tight pistol and the it still fit the same after. But they bead blast the metal I think and I had to clean and smooth the rails a little with some cycling and grease to get it to run with the superlight recoil spring I had in it.

I love mine. I have done all of my mags and friends mags. It is crazy how far out of Dave's specs brand new factory mags are on feedlips. I have no regrets with the purchase.

I have tig welded a safety before to fix this same exact issue. So far so good just re shaped the weld a bit and still working for me.

I had an old 550 that had spring returns that liked to not reset all the way. If you call Dillon they can set you up with the new linkage. Also you are using the small pistol powder bar correct? The large may not fill consistently enough with that small of a load.

I have use SRP in 9mm Major. and had no problems I even used a lightened hammer and mainspring but had an extended Dawson firing pin. They seemed to work fine.
Federal SPP Shortage

What I don't understand on the Federal Primers is CCI and Federal are owned by the same company and I can get CCI primers no problem. It seems more people prefer the Federal so why not make them and not the CCI? I got lucky and got a case from Midway but they sold out FAST!
