  1. Shooting Open? Or IPSC (whose rules I don't know)? ...because Major in anything but Open division in USPSA requires at least a .40 caliber bullet. I'm shooting Standard Division (SD) in IPSC. In Australia we can't use anything above .38 cal. for IPSC competitions by law, so that means 357SIG is the only way to score major in SD. In IPSC the 357SIG is specifically exempt from the .40 cal. minimum so that people from countries with similarly brain-damaged regulations to Australia can score major in SD.
  2. My latest 9mm "minor" load is making 149PF with a 135gr lead projectile. I'm looking at stepping up to major next year/season with a 357SIG, so I'm trying to get used to it early.
  3. Hi all, Long time lurker/reader, but never a poster; well, apart from one little thing I happened to know about Tanfoglios. Speaking of which, I shoot a Tanfoglio! Originally a Stock II, it has been converted to a sweet Standard Division gun (even if it is only scoring minor) with all the EGW and Henning goodies. I've been shooting IPSC for about 3 years, and have managed to travel around a bit. I even made it as far as New Zealand for the 2013 Australasian Championships which was a real eye-opener. Anyway, looking forward to posting and getting involved a bit more here. Cheers!
  4. You can grind out the upper notch in the frame so that the de-tent plunger sits out further when the safety is applied. My gun has had this treatment and it's quite nice. That said, I didn't do it myself. I had the work done by someone who knows Tanfoglio handguns in-side-out.
