A call to Win/Browning Customer service indicated that new SX2 MK2 Practicals would not ship until September.
Although limited in capacity to 6 + 1, the FN Police autoloader -SLP (18" SX2) is available now. The FN SLP is available at various distributors. There was also a link to FN Herstal on the AR15.com site that showed a new SLP model that had a 22" inch barrel and 8 round capacity, but apparently based now on the Browning Gold, with the direct load from the magazine feature.
So the question is - wait, settle for the 18" SLP, or try to find the 22" Gold based SLP?
Are there changes to the new guns coming that are worth waiting for?
Are there people that still have SX2 Practicals in stock? I would prefer the ghost ring sights.
Is the direct load feature something best avoided?
The FN guns are interesting in that they have shortened butt stocks, and I believe Chrome lined barrels.
Any knowledge that could be shared would be greatly appreciated.
