  1. This post is NOT designed to become a political beating post. What I am looking for is a honest opinion you have on whom you feel is the best candidate for President.

    Hillary or Trump

Personally I am neither Democrat or Republican . I vote strictly by who I feel will do the best job.

Since the news media has so many different takes on this subject and I wonder at the reason they have for them, I decided to ask those in the sport I have chosen,. I feel fellow shooters will have a honest feeling of whom they want and why. Will you share with me.

To keep this question in perspective here are some simple thought for your comments.

Pick one of the candidates Clinton or Trump

In three (3) brief bullet points tell me why.

Its not your thoughts are not important, but this could get way out of hand. Please cooperate and make this an informative opinion poll.

This election can be one of our countries greatest blessing, or spell disaster for the US

I personally want to do it right. Help all be informed.

    Thanks

  2. I'm looking at either PD or MG for my 38 Super loads out of my Open gat.

    My choices are between:

    124 CMJ (MG)

    or

    124 FMJ (PD)

Which do you prefer and why? The cost difference is almost negligible, $360/3750(MG) and $352/4000 (PD), so I'm just looking for input on which one you like better. The guy I bought the gun from used PD, as a reference

where can you buy PD for 352.00 5K best I have found is 448.00

  3. Good afternoon. This one is a stumped for me. I have a new Ghost Speed Holster, it model STI-SV-RH.

When I place my STI in it it will not go all the way into the holster, it just to tight the final 1/2 " so the locking ball does not engage the trigger guard and keep the pistol in place. There is nothing special about the STI, its a factory gun 2011.

So my question is I see three or four small screw heads on the holster, are they used to make it fit the gun, or have another function. By the way, when the gun is in the holster as far as it will go, its very hard to get it out.

Any advise or help is appreciated.

    thanks

  4. Steve.

I was shooting a 2011 Open, 9mm when we met. I was doing OK with it but due to peer pressure was convinced to give the almighty Glock a try. Well, I did. 17 and a 34 9mm in open and stock. All great and cheaper then a 2011 but could not shoot a Glock. The reason is a valid one for me and I do not want to start a debate here. Enough said for Glock's, they went bye bye.

Then all my great buddies, said go to M&P. They have a closer to 1911 grip angle. OK, did that and yes I did shoot them better but still not to the extent of the 2011 gun I had. So last effort was with Sig. Had a couple of very nice Sigs. 226 and X5 they shoot well but I still did not like them as well as my 2011.

So you might wonder why not just buy another 2011. WELL ! Dam good point, so I did have two now and no plan to change again in the future. All this just means to me, if you like 2011 and shoot it well then that is what you should have and shoot. A gun is like a woman, find a good looking one that fits and makes you better and you have a keeper. OK Ladies, sorry.

Glad you kiddo is here and you and mommy are doing well. You will have many years of joy with you kid, till they get a mouth, and about age 14. That is when you will shoot more. Just Saying MHO

  5. Or just cut the arm off, if it makes any difference to you to maintain the original appearance.

Well, I suppose cutting off an arm is one way to prevent an accidental discharge.

Actually removal of the head works better, but the arm is a great backup method. Any port in a storm they say in the Navy.

  6. Well. you can buy cheaper and get what you pay for. The old RG-38 pistols sold on Saturday night would shoot someone just fine, but what about after more and more use.

If you are a limited amount loader, the Ammo-Bot would most likely do the job. But, no one, has anything even close to Mark VII. No One !

Again, you get what you pay for. A Rock River 2011 is a pretty good gun, nut can it match up to a SVI ?

Pay now, or maybe cry later. Now understand this is just my opinion, and its only worth what you are paying for it.

    Have fun, be safe !
