I played on my friends phone which would have been the android version. I have talked to one guy that said he was doing some Beta testing a couple of months back on the iOS version, and he said he liked it pretty good. My limited experience was the aforementioned android, and it was pretty pimp!

The new app is awesome. I have played with it. Much easier with it to view the info. When you pull it up, the match is there. No copying or pasting, importing, etc. The info is readily available. Much worth the 10-14 bucks for the ease of use.

Ken said in an email when Russ gets back from scoring a match which was at least 2 weeks ago, it should be up that week. That has been maybe 3 weeks ago now. Anyway, I didn't know if you had an update. I guess I will just have to be patient.
I have a couple of recent matches I was wanting to check out. A friend has the android version and I played on it a month or so ago and it was freaking awesome. This is an incredible app that I am excited to play with

True, and I do have a tablet, but I utilize my iphone WAY more on a daily basis. We have converted everything to Apple at the house. Macbooks, ipods, iphones, apple tvs, and ipads at the Wilson household.

If Ken Nelson or Russ Armstrong sees this, can you guys or anyone else that may know.... Looking for when the release of Practiscore Competitor app for iphone/ipad will be available. I aggravate my buddies about their inferior android phones, but they have a super awesome app that I have been wanting ever since hearing about it.
If you guys haven't heard of it or seen it, it allows you to be able to make comparisons on shooters with stages or matches. You can "what if" a stage or target to compare scores, etc simply by importing match info off of Practiscore. I have played with a friend's a little bit and it is pretty awesome.

I shot my open pistol and pcc at the same USPSA style match today. It was indoors with a fair amount of movement with respect to the space constraints. One string, 38 rounds. On average I was about 3 seconds faster with my pistol than the pcc. Hits were about the same. Haven't got the official results yet. A good time was had with both guns!
The PCC guys were having a blast and it was almost as fun watching them shoot! The match I was at was outdoors with some decent amount of movement.

This is why so many gun clubs have problems! The rifle shooters hate the pistol shooters who hate the shotgunners who hate the Cowboy shooters who can't stand the bullseye shooters! Live & let live folks! The Rimfire Challenge people have figured it out at NSSF. Run both guns on the same stage at longer distances for the long guns and everyone plays on a "level playing field". The PCCs aren't competing against the pistols and vice versa. Mo' shooting = mo' fun!

Bring PCC on! It's a great thing. Mr. Foley has already put out a video answering a lot of the naysayers questions and concerns about how would you be able to do this, or this. PCC will open up more vendors to become involved with USPSA matches. It's time to add a little spice to USPSA. CO looks like it's hanging by a thread. 500 plus signed up for A6 and of that, 8 CO shooters. I think PCC will take off once a rule set has been established. Should be a good thing for all involved.

I don't follow. Why will handgun shooters be bottom of the food chain? They will certainly be shooting faster than the carbine carriers.
Have you seen some of these PCC guys shoot yet?? I got to see them first hand. They aren't slower than any pistol shooters that I saw. With that being said, the PCC folks I saw shooting are incredible shooters to begin with. Their times were all at the top of the list.
I say welcome PCC to USPSA. It's a great thing. I will shoot it at some point. Right now, I am having too much fun shooting pistols. But to say handgun will be faster than carbine, not true. Of course it is all dependent on who the shooter is as well. The ones I saw, one is a USPSA GM and highly competitive 3 gunner, two others were USPSA M,asters, and maybe another was an A shooter.

I have never tried the EGW die but have heard they are pretty good. I turned an old Lee turret press into a case debulging set up with the Lee bulge buster or something like that for my .40 brass.
I took out the auto index and made it basically a single stage. It's a die that you run your brass through and it has a small canister that catches the brass. After using it, it made a huge difference when drop checking ammo.

Guys and gals,
I am in the process of planning/constructing a case collator or feeder if that what some may call it because I like to tinker and I am also all about saving money. The question I have is after watching video after video of folk's builds is, have any of you that have made one put some type of clutch contraption on yours, and if so, how did you do it. I have only found one person so far that I have seen that has a clutch on it. Everyone else seems to be just running theirs without worrying about a hangup. I have read about one guy that put some type of sensor on his that shuts off it it detects some type of interruption. I don't know how it worked, but his was electronic.
I am wanting to build just a basic case collator that is effective. I do value my time, but I also as mentioned before, like to build things like this for fun and it will be used often, so I am not worried about putting 4-6 hours in a project like this. I think in the end, if it works well and looks decent, and I haven't dropped 100.00 bucks in it, problem solved and I had a good time doing it.

While we are talking about this, what recoil spring/rod are you guys using for the .40 Edge? I have one that I bought earlier this year that I have only put about 50-100 rounds down range with it. I shot Glocks all year shooting Production, but have plans to run it in Limited in 2016 some with the Edge. I will be shooting major with 175 gr hi-tech coated TCBB.

I just ditched the RecoilIMaster for an STI one-piece and a 12lb. Wolff. No complaints.
Yeah, I am not a fan of the Recoil Master after shooing a friends set up which I am not sure what it is spring weight wise. His tracks incredibly flat compared to mine. Mine when shooting say a Bill Drill, I get the zipper effect. They keep rising up, where his is more just a big cluster of holes in the target. Thanks for the info guys!

I don't think so. You think about the time and money invested in getting there, loading ammo, etc., 35.00 on top of all of that for a local match with no chance of any tangible return is not worth it to me. At our club, we shoot 6 stages in USPSA, with one being a classifier. Round count is normally around 125-150. Then we will shoot the match again after that. Members are 15.00 for first time and 5.00 for the second.

Guys, this is some great information. I am the score uploader for my club for USPSA and have been doing that for 2 years now, and have also been putting in all of the IDPA scores for the last 6-8 months. We have been using paper scoring for both USPSA and IDPA. I am to the point that using practiscore and tablets or nooks is the only way for us to go at this point. It normally takes me 4-5 hours every weekend to enter the scores in for our guys. I have used practiscore at other clubs and have been to matches that used them and it only seems logical to follow suit.
I shot a match yesterday that was an IDPA major that utilized nooks, had a squad mom that had all of the shooters paper for a back up, and also a club paper for a back up. At the end of the day, the shooter would get their paper back with their scores wrote down. This was very effective and efficient.
We host the VA State IDPA match at my club every year with normally 200+ shooters and still utilize exclusively paper scoring on it as well. So I can definitely see the advantage and time savings implementing the electronic scoring with paper back up for it.
Great advice from the ones that posted about their experiences utilizing practicsore. Be safe out there guys!EW

I totally agree with you Glockified! Especially in IDPA with the subjectivity with cover. Great story jacketjoed! It's never fun DQ'ing a shooter, especially when it's your own girlfriend.

Shot this match last year. This is an awesome range that had some great stages. The folks there are also great and the prize table was really good as well. As good as any I have seen at a USPSA event. Looking forward to this match!

Patriot, I heard today from a shooting friend that the guys that own a range in Spartanburg, SC bought it. I contacted Phil Strader trying to get their information to get the dates, and he told me that it will still be the 3rd week in July and still be in Frostproof for 2015. Not sure about the following years. But the person that told me about it being sold is a reliable person.

I coat all of mine now. I haven't really shot plated in a while, but for the price of lead bullets that I get from a local friend, coating is the best route for me. I actually pick up feet per second, the smoke is minimal.
Coating is an easy process. The time consuming part is sizing those bullets when they are coated.
