  1. I run long loaded .40 brass in a G20. I guess maybe 4-500+ rds through set up like that, 210-250 PF. I can't find any indicators of wear on the breechface, and haven't noticed any difference in accuracy, though I haven't put it on paper lately. So far I haven't found any good reason not to, and I prefer running the shorter brass. So far I have had one FTF that I can't explain (nose caught on left side of chamber), and some failures to go into battery due to fat cast bullets, but nothing that I can attribute to long loaded .40 brass. I would bet that that malfs due to mags, various springs or reloads are a more serious concern than issues w/ long loading short brass.
  2. I am really trying to make the gun run well with that particular load. Would there be a way to go about doing so? Would a longer comp or maybe a steel one make things happen?
  3. Powder is H110... Right now recoil in the hand is pretty firm, and even with a firm grip muzzle rises to 45* or so, then pulls my forearms up a bit. I am not much of an auto shooter, but it looks like the gun is in recoil for about .5 seconds on video. I can probably bring that down some w/ my grip, but it is a handful. If the comp was not any help, I was considering either cutting it down shorter so that it would be less effective, and just letting it 'help out', or else running a longer barrel with porting on it. I figure the longer ported barrel would be less effective, but may soften things up just a bit while increasing the velocity some. -Edit- It wouldn't have to be the Jaeger, the Carver looks like it has a couple more side ports, it may be a good candidate.
  4. This isn't an Open gun question as much as a comp question. What might be expected from a Jaeger comp running on a G20 with 220s @ 1100, with no other mods? Weight from mag is a bit higher w/ 220s, but gun is still fairly light. Any ideas? There should be plenty of gas to work it, but am wondering how much help it may be due to the high muzzle flip in stock form. Thanks for any help!
