Hello there. Want to try H mount. Anybody using Slipstream horizontal mount? What slide racker are you using. Brazos doesn't have a racker with ball/detent for the dovetail cut I have on my ProSC to match the H mount. Brand and picture pls. Thanks.

My open 9 major has a Caspian slide and STI frame. Originally a 38 super, converted to 9 major when it was approved by USPSA some 6 years ago. I am using a trubore barrel, Aftec 9 extractor, and SVI mags. Good luck on your conversion.

Trojan .40 here. 40.4 with s&a arched msh, and cmc mags.

If you're after lightening the slide, Look at the bottom for an old colt commander slide. It's lightened inside on the rear 1/2.

I have a Caspian slide/sti frame open gun in .38 super. I am now shooting the same slide fitted with 9mm open barrel.

Pardon me pls. A question, not to hijack the original post. So basically If you want to change from .38 super to .38 SC or .38TJ, all you have to do is change the extractor and the brass of course. Am I correct? I have another open, an old .38 super lying around and remaining brass is about 500 or so. I might convert to .38 supercomp.

I was at the same situation years ago. Cant decide so I bought a .40 and .45. Theyre both reliable and a pleasure to shoot. I'm one of the lucky guys to own a Trojan .40 that runs good from the day I bought it. No barrel mods. Loading 200 XTP's at 1.165/n330. The 45 is a colt combat elite/kart barrel loading Hornady 200swc/n310

Mine is Marvel conversion 1 over a dedicated caspian frame. It works good.

I have a mixed batch of Wilson and CMC's and both brands are flawless.

Brazos. I have an open 38 and lim 40 and shot more than 10K on each of them and fit from day one to present is the same.

Follow their advise of trying it first without changing the extractor. I ordered an extractor for 38SC before testing my gun if it's going to function properly with 38SC brass. Well, It did and without altering the gun and mag. I'll just charge it to experience and its also comforting to know i have spare brand new 38SC extractor.
