  1. Just an update for everyone. bought the Competition reloading DVD with my 650. Got everything put together and setup. talk about making life easy. have a whole bunch of rounds loaded up.

my advice for any new owners.

    1) take your time and read the directions

    2) take your time and read about how to set it up correctly.

    3) take your time and be safe

    4) enjoy all the extra time you will have when you can crank out a couple hundred rounds in an hour and be done for the week. (day in my case it is seeming)

Thanks to Brian for a great place to have a wealth of information to help out

  2. From my recent interaction with Fusion I was informed STI is manufacturing their 2011 frames with Fusion firearms marks on them. They are not manufacturing their own 2011 Frames.

Frame only no grip section $395

  3. Thanks Ricardo, I have read all the trouble people have had and already bought the upgraded bearing and dentant. I am putting EGW sizer dies, Redding pro seater and Lee Factory crimp die in. Figured the first 200-500 would be bullet by hand before then setting the bullet feeder up for each and then off we go.

  4. Just placed my order for a 650 with case feeder, conversion kit so I can load 9 and 40, and am gonna be ordering a Mr. bullet feeder later today.

So happy that soon I will be able to load large amounts of ammo without spending huge amounts of time. doing everything on a rock crusher press is wearing out my arm.

  5. kalifornistan doesn't allow any new 2011 or for that matter any STI or other 2011 smiths or mfr for sale unless you're either in law enforcement or on it's on an approved gun roster (which it's not).

the only way a civilian can currently purchase a 2011 is from private seller in the state.

So they allow you to use the 80% frames and build your own?

  6. L10 in San Diego is working on them, not sure if they have the 100%s ready yet. They do sell 80% frames already that require machining of critical areas to be considered a firearm.

I've been very pleased with my PT frames.

Thanks Mike. I am working on a project and have already ordered one from PT, CK, and Sti. Just trying to find out who else I need to order from to do some testing.

  7. I know that CKArms, Pheonix Trinity, and STI all make bare frames for 2011's. Does anyone know of any other manufacturers that make "Bare 2011 frame"? I know SVI builds their own but they do not sell them that way only as complete guns.

thank you all in advance for the info.

  9. BlackBullet's shipping is included in the price. so no extra there. Secondly if you are shooting as much as most of us order by the case and 500 115gn 9mm bullets come out to $30.92 per 500.

If your goal is to save money then you really need to work on a large volume to save cash. Buy your primers and powder in volume and your bulets by the case. Bullets in flat rate boxes is the best deal out there.

If supporting your LGS is the most important thing ask him for the bulk discount he gets on his Bullets from S&S. If he values the money you spend there he will make a deal with you. It is only a sellers market when the buyer refuses to walk away from bad deals.

Edit: Find the load that shoots best for you and that you like. Then load up a couple thousand and Shoot them all. restock, reload, and repeat. Happy Shooting..
