  1. I like the way it looks but it has already worn from holster wear. I have it about 6 months but I also dry fire 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. It is worn at the muzzle area and around the trigger guard in the place where it contacts the holster. It doesn't both but some people are very picky on guns staying like new.

  2. .... but I don't know how to change it out.

Does anyone on here have a guide they can point me to on how to change this out? I'm not much of a gunsmith but I'd like to be up and running ASAP so I can get to dry firing and get ready for the match.

Thanks in advance and at least it didn't wait until during the match to do this.

It will help you for sure:

It;s the same gun and you'll see the trigger spring assebly at about 5.04 min.

    It's not difficult anyway.

Awesome video. Thanks for sending that. I'm not sure why I didn't think to search youtube for a video. I should be able to follow that. Now the long wait for my part starts today.

  3. Thanks everyone for the help. I should have the springs on Wednesday so that gives me a day before I have to leave to figure it out. Strick, I'll take you up on your offer if I can't figure it out. I shot my 75bd tonight for the first time in six months after getting my Shadow and did about everything wrong with it.

  4. As soon as I started dry firing my Shadow today my second "shot" the trigger stayed down. I took it apart and saw where the spring has broken. Of course I didn't have any spares on hand and I am shooting the Texas State Open this weekend and I'm taking the Phil Strader course. My back up gun is a 75BD but I'd rather use the Shadow if at all possible.

I just called CZ custom and they are shipping some next day to me but I don't know how to change it out.

  5. I've owned both Sig 226 and several CZ's. I shoot a Cz Shadow now. I chose based on feel, trigger, and perceived recoil. I do agree that it is just opinion. They are both reliable guns. Pick whichever you like better and that will be the one that makes you happy.

  6. This lack of follow through can be easily fixed if you simply assigned a task for your squad mates to kick you squarely in the nuts if you don’t do it. I swear it will only take a couple of “Correction Activities” to make it a habit to follow through.

    Jeff,

I am willing to step up and assume the duties to make you better. As long as we remember it is for your own good.

  7. I have tried the following in order of my favorite.

Precision or BBI 147 moly coated. w/ 3.5 grains of Solo 1000. The Solo is the softest load I've used and doesn't smoke up the moly too bad.

BBI 130 grain moly coated w/ 4.0 grains of Win 231. Nice load but dirty. A little snappier than the 147s if you like that.

Precision or BBI 147 moly coated. w/ 3.6 grains of Win 231. Very dirty and a has a lot more bark than the Solo.

My OAL are 1.10 for the 147s and 1.125 for the 130. I tried the 147s longer but they would contact the rifling in my barrel. I've considered having it reamed but it works so I probably won't bother.

I just recently bought the Solo 1000 but it cam highly recommended by quite a few people. I am interested in trying it with some Berry's bullets as well. Powder Valley has good prices on them now that they are back in stock.

  8. I use it just like you were shooting it. The first shot in dry fire is the double action and the following shots I just release it to where I think the reset button is and click it again. It is not perfect but I think it is better than doing 6 double action shots in a row which is not very realistic in what you do when you shoot. I don't want to get in the habit of letting my finger go well past the reset point.

  9. Wolf springs is currently out of stock on the 10% mag springs. I am waiting on some. Also, CZ Custom does not list them as in stock but I haven't called to check.

  10. I am currently set up to use my CZ 75BD in CR speed versa pouches. I received my new Shadow yesterday and the mags are very loose in the pouches. They basically fall right out. My old mags work in the gun but they appear to be the same size and fit fine in the pouches. I have tried tightening them all the way but it still is loose with the Shadow mags.

Is this a known problem or something just for me? The pouches have the CZ spacer in them so I'm not sure what is going on. Any ideas?

  11. Sorry about that I forgot, but you can send your pistol back to CZ Custom for a clean up :D

Picked it up tonight. Really like it so far. I will not be able to shoot it until my Monday match but will get a little dry fire time with it. Really like the way the two tone looks in person as well. The action on it and trigger are very smooth. The mag release came in set up for a lefty and I had to figure out how to switch it but it wasn't too bad.
