1. Thanks, for the update, Brian.

But now I can't do anything on the forums via tapatalk. It opens to an endless load sequence when I try to get on.

So I can accurately report it, what do you mean my "endless load sequence"?

    Anyone else having the problem?

When I open tapatalk and click on the forum, it says loading timeline, which goes away and advances to the android loading circle. It never loads.

  2. I continue to get "failed to connect to forum, if this persists, contact your forum administrator" every time I get on with my phone.

I get my notifications for subscribed posts/forums. But when I click on them, it takes me to my subscriptions, not the post like my iPhone did.

Any help?
3. Are the stock lifters good to go on the Vinci ? (no need to make them longer)

I had mine done after the port. Got my thumb stuck when I still caddy loaded. Didn't hurt (much less impale my thumbnail like I've seen happen) just got stuck. it might be fine if you stick with load 2/4 as Pat has.

Who did you have weld your lifter?

Local guy - Fred Hastings of http://dev.carfirearms.com/. It's pretty rad now.

Did he flatten out that hump at the end of the lifter? If so, how does it function?

    Mind posting a picture?

  5. Flat bottom, flat sides, flat top, each flat transitions to the next via a perfect radius. I love mine...long before I picked them up as a sponsor. Puts your hand closer to the bore giving you a better NPA (point finger, point barrel) And nearly every prop at a match

has a surface that can be used better with a flat.

I'm with Mr. Kelley on this one. The Seekins handguard is awesome. I love mine.

  6. A very poor online testing product for an open book exam.

An open book is meant to be a teaching tool.

I have been part of the distance learning world within the military since the late 90s and the method use with this test is referred to as the "Treasure Hunt." It requires searching back and forth through the text without any regard to the flow of the overall concept of the material.

Not a good means to educate....., but a great way to Rat F- - k with the those taking the test.

A better way, especially when the subject matter covers an area where the test subjects are being introduced to new information in a field that they are experienced in is the "Cover to Cover" method. That type of exam starts its questions at the first of the book and finishes on the last page of the book. In other words as you look for and find the answer to the first question you can continue to read and the answer to the next question will appear. At the end of the exam the test taker will have read most of the book cover to cover.

Also, the questions for an open book exam must be Word-For-Word for what is in the book. Several of the questions in the SO exam did not do this.

Whole-Heartedly agree with this. If it had been "cover-to-cover" I would have at least read the rulebook again taking the test. Instead, I only used it for the first 30 or so questions and went to the "wing-it" method afterwards.
