Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Bookmarked! Thanks, I really look forward to getting into competitive shooting. It seems to align itself with my other hobby, Autocross, which is a timed road racing event where even just tenths or hundredths of a second can make a difference between 1st, 2nd, or 5th.
  2. I've never had an issue with my 10 round Wilson ETM mags. Leave them loaded for a week or so to make loading easier.
  3. I live in the "great" state of Illinois. South west suburbs of Chicago, fortunately not in Cook County.
  4. Hey guys, Just saying hello. I picked up a RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme reloading kit, and a Hornady LNL Sonic Cleaner from Cabela's today during the Black Friday madness. A friend of mine was hoping to pick up the Ruger 10/22 they had on sale since he had so much fun shooting mine recently but unfortunately they were sold out by the time we got there. I have been really interested in reloading and had planned on starting out on a progressive like a Dillon 550 but I don't currently have the room for a larger reloading setup and they had plenty of the RCBS units left when we we're there so I decided to bite the bullet(sorry, pun un-intended) and pick up the rock chucker. It was on sale for $250, I figure if it turns out not to be my thing I won't be out too much if I decide to sell it. Currently, I will be reloading for 9mm and 10mm, probably followed by .45 within a few months. We also have a range opening up shortly near me that allows holster draw and does competition style classes. The other ranges(about 45min away) near me do not allow holster, and are either over priced or filled with some ignorant individuals. So I plan on getting ready for some competition style shooting. I ordered a Comp-Tac holster and mag holsters(for my 1911), and have an XDM that came with all the gear that I will use in till I figure out what I really like. Well, I remember reading about some cheap home-made cleaning solutions to use in the Hornady sonic cleaner. I am going to hopefully hunt some of those down on here and head to bed afterwards. Hope everyone had a good holiday, Nick
