I have a Remmy 11-87 with Rem Choke, primarily as a social shotgun. With the Patternmaster choke (which really increases the effective range of OO Buck), I have been able to shoot Brenneke 1 oz. slugs into a cloverleaf group at 50-60 yards.
Don't think choke will matter much for slugs in 3 Gun matches.

I like the Bladetech for my primary AR mag pouch on the 3 Gun belt. Part # 098-000-038WB from Brownells. Firm, consistent and fast at a reasonable price.

Another idiosyncracy, at the match I shot they also weighed the trigger pull on the carbine and checked flash hider dimensions with a dimensional gauge.

I support Rimfire Division as a feeder. Target audience is youth, spouses and new shooters. Score as minor/Production. Give folks 12 months or 10 matches or some other reasonable time period to try the sport, then coach/drive them into one of the current divisions.

They also have a lot of specific rules and limitations codified in their rules book.
Recommend giong to the NRA webpage, into training, down to LE, then competitions, then Tactical Police Competition (TPC) and downloading the 46-page .pdf of their rules. It's worth an hour to read and highlight what they permit and don't allow.

I've been lurking here for several months. Finally took time to write out an introduction.
Have shot USPSA on and off for almost twenty years. Also dabble in IDPA at the local level. Got bitten by the 3 Gun bug about two years ago. Really enjoy the variety, challenges and complexity of 3 Gun.
Have shot a few regional major matches including Texas Multigun (twice) and Fallen Brethren. Adding the FNH match in September this year.
Look forward to seeing many of you at the range.

Tyler,
Great discussion and teaching points. I agree with almost everything that you wrote. We all have an important role to play in setting and enforcing solid, repeatable standards to mature the sport and grow interest and participation.
Thanks for sharing.

Accuracy over speed. Points down are measured in whole seconds. A 'c' zone hit is plus 2 seconds. A 'd' zone hit is plus 4 seconds.

Another vote for the Safariland. I carry a 20" AR and a 24" Winchester SX3 with plenty of room for mags, chokes, a rain coat and assorted support gear. Well made and focused on a 3-gun loadout.

This will cause all of the major 3 guns to edit their rules and either make this trigger illegal or 'Open'. Don't see it changing anything else for the better.
