  1. If you mentioned it already sorry for the repeat questions but I couldn't find it. What make and model of speed loader is that? I can't find one listed on Brownells. Thanks, Trevor
  2. I found a whole set for a good price to picked it up. This way I can leave my 9mm set up and just get another quick change for the .38 super.
  3. I don't have a case gage for .38 Super yet so I'm using the actual barrel from the gun and calipers. They all fit into the chamber no problem and are 32.26, 32.30, 32.33, 32.37, , 32.42, 32.43, 32.48. I think I found a set of .38 Super dies anyway. I made this mistake because the caliber conversion kit is for both 9mm and .38 super so I assumed that the dies did both too. Dumb ass rokie mistake. Thanks guys, Trevor
  4. I see. Well then. Should I not shoot the 6 test loads that I loaded up already using my dillon 9mm dies?
  5. My caliber conversion kit for my 650 says 9mm/.38 super/9X21 but what about the dies? Do I need actual .38 super dies? Thanks, Trevor
  6. So I'm going to start with a 124gn FMJ and Sihouette. The Ramshot manual says 6.8 up to 7.6. Can I start right at 7.6gn or should I actually start at the bottom and work my way up to 6.8? Or do I want to start even lower than 6.8 just to be safe? Thanks, Trevor
  7. Basically that's the plan in the beginning but I love to work on/modify/experiment with stuff. Every hobby I've ever had evolved trying to make things, better, faster, more efficient etc. That how it was with RC cars, RC planes, target archery and now guns. I started with a Glock 35 back in January that was set up for the standard division in IPSC and short of sending the frame away for custom work there's nothing left on that gun that I have worked on or replaced. That's what I love about open guns but it's also what scares me about open guns. The sky’s the limit. I'm not even sure if I'm going to stay in open but if I do I know I am going to want to work on the gun. It seems to me that after a decent trigger job the next place to go is the barrel & comp. So although I will shoot it as is for a while I plan to learn as much as I can over the winter so that when the season starts up again if I do decide to stick with it I'll have an idea of what I want to do first to it. Thanks, Trevor
  8. So how do we define whether the comp is working effectively or not? Is it when the muzle has very little rise?
  9. I will indeed Mo. Can I find his contact info on our site? Thanks again for all the info guys. I think I'm first going to track down a few mags and some new springs for a few that I have now. Then I'm going to get a better triger job done and maybe try a few recoil springs from an 8 to a 10. Cheers, Trevor
  10. Cool Mo. That's how I'm going to start. I'm such a freak though. I haven't even shot a match yet and already I'm trying to figure out ways to bring the gun up to modern day standards. I might not even like open!
  11. I'm the state of Canada. Nothing but 10rds coast to coast.
  12. Hi Guys, The caspian .38 super I just bought came with 10 round single stack mags. Is there any advantage or disadvantage to a single stack mag? Thanks, Trevor
  13. So I could buy a modern uptodate cone comp to put on the ohter barrel?
  14. So can anyone tell me what type of comps those are and where I should start with my reloading for this gun? Right now I'm going with 124gn FMJ and Silhouette powder.
