I get all my 1911 done in hard chrome it lasts much longer and is verry hard. I have some I bought blued and the blueing wears off in about a year for me, and I have 5 years on the hc ones and they look new

I have an sti open gun, it is currently chambered for 9x23. I would like to get the gun rebarreled for 9mm major but I am not sure who is a good gun smith to have it done, as well I would like a price estimate.

any info u can provide would be helpful.

My duty one does qualify for IDPA.

The Trojan is a 45ACP I have not checked.

Every "major" match I have shot I have been checked. We are shooting the classifier at our local club this weekend so I will weight it them, and will post an update next week.

I know that this is an old thread but I finally got my gun and put the techwell on. I love the techwell, the grips are kinda hard to get off, but the magwell works great, I am running it with the Wilson EMT mags.

I also put a Smith and alexadria (sp?) on my Duty one and it installed easy and works great!

[Primer Chute]

Thanks for all of the responses. I think that i am going to get the one off ebay it looks the best.

For me even if the ski jump is empty the primer goes flying, which with my 2 year old running around just seems to be a bad deal. I really don't want her to find an eat a primer. So this is just an added insurance policy for me. I don't let them pile up on the ski jump now, nor will i let them pile up in the bottle.

I saw a pimer chute that had a little bottle on it to catch the good primers, for when you pull a case out of the system on a 650. I can't remember where i saw it. Can anyone help?

I have an STI Trojan 5.0 comming soon, and want to put a magwell in it. I will be shooting IDPA. I have 2 qestions:

What magwell should I get?

If I get the Dawson Ice nogap do I have to get and use the basepads?

I havn't decided which one yet, but in looking at all of them another question came up. My gun is hardchromed, for the ones that need a new mainspring housing, which finish do I go with? Will any of them look good with the hardchrome?

I have an SLP MK1. I called browning last week and ordered a carrier, what I got was the stop button. I want another carrier / lifter so I can get it welded up. Does anyone know the part number of the correct name for it? It is the lifting part on the bottom that you push shells though.

So I google'ed this and no one has seemed to find one, but I thought that I would ask here. Just because I like the look of them, I am looking for an unfluted cylinder for the KGP-141. I was wondering if anyone on here knew of someone that would make one, or if there was on the market that I didn't find.

[New Revolver]

Alright I have been posting in there for a while about revolvers, and shooting IDPA. I finally bought a ruger GP100 (KGP-141) I liked it better than the 686 because of the fell in my hand, bottom line that was the deciding factor for me. Now since I have shot only a few revolvers in my life, and have never competed with them, do I need to do anything to do it get it to function well in IDPA? My main concern is with during a reload, I know they rounds should fall right out, but will that just happen or will I have to do anything?

I know the easy answer is to go try it but unfortunately I will not be able to shoot the gun for 3 more weeks.... Yes that is right i bought a gun and get to look at it but can't shoot it.....

[High end revolvers]

I am still in the debate on which manufacture's revolver to get. I am pretty set on the KGP-141. I want a 6 shot 357 mag with a 4.2" barrel for shooting IDPA. I have spent alot of time reading and looking around, and it seems that alot of people shoot the S&W. I was wondering if there was a higher end vendor.... What I mean by high end is something like STI. I bought my STI eagle a couple years ago, and am in love with the quality and balance of the STI's, in fact I got 2 more since (my wife really loves me).

I just bout the safariland 4556 case. I really liked the delux voodoo model but it would not hold the 22" slp.

My bladetech holster has screws in it that i can tighten to tighten the fit of the gun, and i carry if fairly tight. I have not had any issues to date (knock on wood)

I am going to start getting into three gun a bit. I shot alot of IDPA right now. I think that I have the hardware covered.

shotgun: SLP MK1 22" blue force sling

Riffle: custom 223 16" blue force sling

Pistol: STI eagle 40"

I have a blade tech holster and mag pouch for the STI.

I still need a few thing and was wondering what you guys are using.

1) Case, I was thinking about getting one of the three gun cases to carry all the equipment in one bag, either the safariland or the voodoo bag.

2) Mag pouch for AR mags, not sure what to do here.

3) Shot shell caddy for shot gun shells, no idea here either.

And if there is anything that I overlooked let me know.

[Revolver Holster Help]

I am not a big revolver shooter, but want to get my 5 gun in IDPA, and I have a ton of 38 special and 357 mag brass so it is time to start looking. I like the 625 and the KGP-141 but haven't looked at colt yet. I plan on trying to find a local shop that has some so I can feel them. I really would like to shoot the same revolver in both the SSR and ESR class.

With all that said: I have looked and haven't been able to find a kydex revolver holster. Also any suggestion on a place to by the speed loaders, and pouches?

[FNH SLP Lifter]

I am getting an FN SLP this week, got the nordic bolt handle coming. I also wanted to replace the lifter, heard bad things about it eating the thumb. I was hoping to find someone that just sold one with modified "forks" but can't find one. Has anyone else found one?
