I broke my slide lock (pin broke in two pieces- it looks like cheap pressed metal) and see that the Brownell's catalog lists slide locks for different calibers. I have a 38 Super Open and thought you needed just a regular slide lock for replacement and modified it to not lock the slide back. Am I wrong to think about an EGW from Brownell's as the way to fix my STI?

I have purchased (my first) used STI Super Open gun built by David Wilds. I have changed the C More, changed ammo, changed shooters, and still have accuracy problems and need some assistance to determine what has changed to cause the gun to shoot lower left (around nine inches @ 25yds and further). All Dawson sight mount screws are tight. Gun has about 3K rounds with a Kart barrel and Yaneck Comp. Ideas and gunsmith suggestions are appreciated. I am in the KCMO area and we are short on pistolsmiths with IPSC gun experience. I have no contact information on David Wilds, but think that maybe a place to start.
