  1. Is this still available?

  2. You're right, I got ahead of myself thinking about the Boomfab. Difinan, does your bolt move relatively freely in the carrier? It does not, no hang ups or roughness in operating the bolt
  3. BitchinCamaro PSA Upper (no forward assist), Boomfab Titanium Low Mass BCG and a Jp Low Mass Buffer cant find the invoice on the spring (rifle Length gas system, 18" barrel) Stihead Correct no mag inserted, bolt locked back, hit the paddle to release bolt and it would on occasion fail to fully go into battery almost as if I was riding the charging handle.
  4. Ok looking for help from all the black gun experts out there. Finally got to go to the range and tune the gas system test the rifle and work on zeroing it in. We ran into a problem with the gun failing to go into battery We looked at and tried the following 1. 3 different magazines (all 2nd gen magpull 30 round mags with 3-5 rounds loaded) 2. Two different bullets, a 55 grain hornady soft point (exposed lead) and a Ultramax 55 grain fmj (fmj ones appeared top go into battery consistently to start with but started having problems after about 10 rounds. 3. If the bolt was release with the paddle while empty it was pretty consistent and went into battery (though it failed a few times). 4. The gas system was tuned to one click more then needed to lock the bolt back on an empty magazine. One additional note on the soft point bullets two of them showed gouges or grooves in the the jacket towards the base of the bullet prior to where the case starts, and the case had no marks or scoring. In all cases all rounds fired correctly when manually dropped in and the bolt was allowed to close while the gun barrel was pointed down. I have pictures below and a vidoe of the issue if anyone has any suggestions. Aside form this issue, the gun was fun to shoot had zero rise and felt like I was shooting a .22 but sounded like something much larger . Only picture I have is to large to upload I can email it if needed.
  5. I agree with the comment about fatigue particuilarly towards the end of day on Friday. It was pretty brutal heat wise and towards the last stages on Friday is when I saw most of them happen.
  6. Thanks for a great match had a blast shooting it, and to squad 26 thanks for putting up the slow fat guy on the range.
  7. Well I missed getting a hotel room at the match hotel anyone want a room mate for the match and split hotel costs let me know.
  8. I had a great time at the match shot all day Friday with squad 21. Thanks for putting up with one of the less speedy shooters and the catastrophic pants failure. I look forward to seeing everyone again next year! I believe the final scores are here (Im sure someone will correct me if there not) http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-display-match-results-detail.php?indx=11226
  9. The stages look like a load of fun, but my knees are already starting to hurt
  10. I would be interested in a .22 lr for my xdm 5.25 .40 along with a barrel and slide for 10mm. Is this project still being worked on looked into?
  11. Agreed the stages look like a lot of fun except for the demented individual who put a tunnel in one of the stages, oh my aching knee's
  12. I wanted to give the Gator Classic/ Area 4 Championship gang an extra thank you for a great match. I shot limited 10 D class there, and was the only one in that class. Despite that they still made and sent a plaque for being first in D class. I cant tell you how much this means to me, as someone who is still pretty new to this sport, and am (to put it mildly) a bit on large side (well more like a lot on the large side ). It was a great surprise to have this show up in the mail today. The match and the sport in general has been a great thing to stumble into, I have met and shot with some great people and look forward to doing so in the future. David Finan
  13. My 2nd area 4 championship match and my First Gator Classic what a blast, great weather fun stages. I had a great time.
  14. Definitely let me know what notes you find, I may take it to a local gunsmith and see if he can do anythign to help the issue.
  15. I have noticed on my phantom that if I keep the mag release button pressed the mags dont drop free clearly on my phantom. If I press and release they drop about 90% of the time, about 10% of the time, I have hit the mg release again. Anyone have any experience with this issue or any suggestions on how to correct it?
  16. Well got my gun back from the factory, they replaced the exractor polished the feed ramp and the underside of the extractor. Just shot my first match with the gun, and the doublefeeds are gone, other then a pesky issue getting mags to drop free on my Phantom the gun ran flawlesly.
  17. Well I finally broke down CZ-USA, after trying the various fixes or steps to improve the doublefeed issue on my phantom I stil was getting doublefeeds, from new mags, mags that came with the gun and three different brands of 147 grain 9mm ammo. So the gun is on the way to CZ-USA to see if they can figure out what the issue is. I sure hope they find what I have missed or what I probably broke. I like the way the gun shoots and handles, but it just isnt reliable right now.
  18. Well I polished the part mentioned in the article and still had doublefeeds alot of them, I did confirm the round in the chamber was hot. I also got three new magazines and used them and had double feeds across all magazines. I have been using remington 147 grain rounds (factory ammo) any chance the oal on the round is causing some of the problem. I really like the way the gun shoots but the mag issue is driving me crazy.
  19. Wow was this a hot match, and I dont mean fast . Over all I lked the stages, they were fun and challenging. Lots of little hidden nooks and crannies that targets were ( found most of those, its the ones in plain site I walked past ). I finished last in production with my CZ, had a lot of little mental errors early on that hurt, and then add to that a lot off issues with the CZ doublefeeding rounds. Overall though fun match and despite the heat I will try to sign up for this match again next year, maybe we schedule it for end of February this time around .
  20. See everyone at the range in the morning. Good luck and safe shooting.
