Blue Ridge or NRA HQ range to practice. NRA HQ firearms museum, Air and Space Museum near Dulles, it's worth the trip.
Fly out of Dulles (IAD) for Fairfax, DCA second choice. Don't fly out of BWI, its 2+ hours in traffic if you have make a flight.

Only two kinds of shooters in this - those that have DQ'ed and those that will.
This, learn from it, even top level shooters get DQed. During stage planning, try and go left to right if your right handed, opposite if your left handed.

Buy new screws? LOWE'S or Home Depot...
FWIW, I tried to flatten mine a bit with a heat gun...didn't work....so, washers and longer screws...
This, I was able to source longer screws at Lowes and paint them black to match. Also it depends on which belt you are wearing and how it fits and if you are using a tech-lock or other attachement.

Plus one on ROing wife/GF/SO. Same goes with teaching them to shoot or shoot better.

I use it. Hell, I'm surprised everyone who shoots open doesn't use it now a days. Where are you all getting powder? I know, it's a trick question because you aren't
Ok I'll bite, who produces 9mm Major ammo? Wish Atlanta Arms would, I have a gift certificate.

That's a negative Matt, I won't have my hands on one until the first weekend of the month most likely.
And Steve, I worked a few more loads up to 7.7 grns yesterday. Perhaps very slight cratering but that's it.
7.7g CFE, 124jhp MG, CCI 500 will make 180+PF in a 5" 4 hole STI.

I've had scores posted 45 days later, if its a classifier and it makes a difference, then push the issue, otherwise focus on the next match. I also would doublecheck at the next match either at checkin or during scoring, it can be changed prior to upload. MDs do get busy, but you are a client.

Thanks, can you mentioned a cistom kydex holster maker.

I had a local holster maker mold me an open kydex holster that covered the C-more. Worked great at 3 gun match, and protected the gun from getting banged around and even going prone was fine. I have since changed to a 90 mount for the c-more, so won't be able to use it. Will get a newer holster make when I get a chance.

Sounds like a standard filter, similar to what schools and others use.

Due to economic circumstances, may need to give up my slot currently on squad 14. If you didn't get a slot or have a friend, teammate, etc that wants to shoot, send me a PM.

Welcome!

Tag for interest, considering going this route since I get some FTEs hanging up on the standard mount. I also have the 6 hole STI slide and wonder if I'm going to have to get a blank and drill it or if I can use the 5 hole mount and not put the 6th screw in?

As said no rule against it. Another way to look at it, speeds up one minute per shooter, 120 shooters in a day is 2 hours faster.

The words in front do not matter. He said "Make Ready" so he issued the command to start the COF.
This, RO should have avoided saying Make Ready, poor choice of words.

I shot with folks from Charlotte at the Tarheel 3 gun (Durham/Apex area).

Stippling is fine. Don't recommend that you undercut trigger guard if you decide you want to shoot production in USPSA.
Short of adding an optic (moves to open), you can add magwells, extended mags (depends on state), mag releases, etc.
ETA: as mentioned comps

So is there another timer that folks would recommend over the 7000? I read the 10 year old sticky at the top and its so confusing I can't make heads or tails which timer to buy.
I got a Competition Electronics Pocket Pro 2 Shot Timer from sorting change and turning it into Amazon credits. Its big but great for practices and local matches. Most big matches use the 7000s, once they get beyond initial failure rates, seem to run ok.

Yes, for example if the slide rack on an Open gun "props" it up, still good to go. If the shooter bumps the table and it falls off or pointing at the shooter, breaks the 180, etc DQ.
For classifier CM 13-07 Double Deal 2 the WSB start position states:
Seated at table facing downrange holding playing cards with both hands and elbows on the table. Loaded firearm is placed on X in center of table with the muzzle pointing down range.
If a competitor were to place his loaded gun so that it touches the "X" mark, the muzzle pointing downrange but it was not laying on it's side, is that a valid position? This particular weapon has a compensator with a flat bottom and the magazine extension had a flat front. The gun was able to "stand" upright with the muzzle pointing downrange albeit it was pointing at the table and the range floor.
What says the collective range officer community? Let him start that way or tell him it has to lay on it's side and stop trying to game the classifier? Is there an applicable rule?

Anyone have these in stock? I see backorders and longer leadtimes at the usual places?
Would like to use 'Driod and chrono before the Area 8 sectional May 14th.

Welcome! Plenty of USPSA matches in the area. Fairly active wheelgunners in some of the local matches.

This! Looking for the long term. Will be Sr class this year.
OLD EYES = OPEN.
Much better to have an optical sight
