  1. Just thought of doing this. After a piss-poor showing at a local 2 Gun on Sunday, 27Jan. where I completely regressed in capability, I have realized my weakest link is pistol by far. took me 24 rounds to hit 10, 4" dueling tree plates at a range of 10 yards. So yesterday, I went to the range for a couple hours and worked pistol until my hands got sore. As follows:

150 rounds - grip, draw, single round on 10" plate at 10 yards. Slow pace. Fundamentals. Concentrated on trigger press. Not too good. Hits were all over.

75 rounds - singles on 10" plate at 25 yards. Trigger press. Not bad

100 rounds - singles on 10" plate at 50 yards. Trigger press. Let shot break. Not bad.

Hand Tired. Worked a shotgun reload drill with left over ammo. 6 rounds.

Worked rifle. 25 yard double taps at target head. 2" low at 25yds. 100 rds. Went ok. One magpul mag bad, mag needs work.

Not confident on pistol. Need ALOT of work. fundamentals. fundamentals. slow down. fundamentals.

    Total

    250 pistol

    100 rifle

    6 shotty

  2. Looking for advice on a CZ for 3 gun. I'm leaning toward the SP01 Shadow Custom Target but not sure about sight radius since I'm getting older. I know most will go with the TS but not sure I like it. Anyone shoot 3 gun with SP01 Shadow?

  3. I picked up a KJW KP6 which is a replica of my 6" S_I Eagle, except for the full length dust cover (mine is a short). Works very well and, since the slide was lightened on my real Eagle, the KJW has close to the same feel. Haven't shot it a whole lot since getting a week ago but so far so good.

  4. Hit the inaugural match of 3 Gun Nation and, even with unbelievably unpredictable weather, it was a very good time. Mark Wills is the perfect host/spokesman for these events. He was friendly, hospitable, and genuine, and made the event a true pleasure. It was the first I've attended in-person and it was enjoyable to say the least. If you have the chance at future events, take the time and go, it's more than worth it.
