    I used to know a guy….

he would sprinkle teflon  powder into his casefeeder.

He said he noticed that it took less “uumph” to operate the handle on his 650.

of course, if you keep birds in the house as pets, having teflon powder floating around will probably kill them.

The advantage is you don’t have to tumble it off.

Or clean up after the birds anymore

The instances I've experienced have not been firing out of battery; it's the case head failing because it's not being properly supported. Glock 40s used to do this quite a bit back in the day for exactly the same reason.

I'm not saying I love it when it happens (I've started carrying spare extractors with me, lol), but it what it is. My understanding is that the KKMs are fully supported, so that's the solution if it worries you too much.

I had a 1/2 dozen case head ruptures in just 300  rounds. Zero with the KKM barrel

Usually cutting the forcing cone bigger with the proper cutter helps the most. If the forcing cone is too small, lapping won't do it. Every gun is different. This one may need to be retimed or the barrel lapped or something else. Best to take or send it to a good revo smith to fix it. This is not the sort of thing easily diagnosed without the gun on the bench.

Thanks. This is the route I’ll take . Right now I have my GS replacing a Dan Wesson 9mm barrel because the factory cut the chamber way to deep. It’s not been a good month for my used gun purchases. Thanks for all the reply’s

  4. I recently purchased a 617-6 used. After 30 rounds there enough leading in the first 1/4 inch of the barrel you can’t see the rifling.  After 80 rounds a cleaning rod won’t go down the chamber.   There’s no lead anywhere except inside. Look for any ideas on this disappointing issue.

  5. I had rounds like that  and chambering issues with a 3die set. Add a Lee factory crimp die and it went away. The lee die created another issue but removing the case lube seems to have fixed it.

  6. My KKM came in about a  week ago. Have not fired it a lot. I know the chamber is tighter but still feeds my reloads fine. No case separations yet.

I need to get it out this weekend again. I'm pretty sure the groups with 4.1 sport pistol and a plated Everglades bullet are going to be much smaller then the same powder and a coated bullet

Found out that 7 week "approximate" shipping time was a sort of "cushion" depending on what item was ordered...........  Ordered my KKM barrel and it shipped less that 2 weeks later...............

    👍

That sounds good.  Ill just wait a couple of days till my credit card starts a new months billing. LOL

  8. Last night my daughter called me from college saddened by his passing. I believed he was a RO at the Double Tap. She hadn't forgotten the grief he gave for shooting a Glock.

and many other fun verbal exchanges between the two of them.
