  1. Im taking this saturday first time and shoot production with it. Will have shoot only 7 round mags. As u can guess why!!!!!! This gun makes me happy happy happy. Diffenitly like the gen 3 better

  2. Sold my m&p40 bought a g19 a little smaller for me for carry. Was shooting better than my gen 4 34 glock. Size aint everything it sure does feel good in the hands and its a shooter.

  3. Looking at 1911's as of now live in a very restricted state. Thinking of the springfield ro for competition in single stack. Im a revolver shooter and was limited, and limited 10 not anymore. Price range I need under a $1000 as have to do another whole setup. Any thoughts or comments on this one or others comparable thanks.

  4. Midway sells mounting solutions plus front fiber optic sight posts. .020,.030,.040. Thinking of trying the .030 eyes are getting older all my other guns have fiber optics brightens everything up for me. I think having the rear peep sight and a front dot might get my shots for elevation better at 100-300yds. Shooting just the dot with the eotech seems my shots are more erratic. But im used to shooting a front and rear system from muzzleloading competition. Still new to 3gun loving it so far. Thanks for all input

  5. I got sw mp ar15 flat top with an eotech 16inch barrel. I have troy flip up irons for back ups. I use the gun for competition eotech for 50yds less and want to use irons for 100yds out to 300yds. Want to switch out front to a fiber optic. What diameter do you think would be better .020, .030 ,or .040. Has anyone done this pros/cons on the difference in diameters looking down at 300yards on target. Thanks for any input

  6. I'm using remington 2 3/4" gun club target loads 7 1/2 shot at 1 1/8 at 1200fps, with the heavy piston, so far no problems. This is also out of a brand new gun that aint broken in yet. Some earlier posts say to break it in using heavier loads if having problems running light loads. Also they say running 1 1/8 is about the lightest you can run it. That's what I found doing searches. I don't have the light piston its about $100.00, I'll just keep shooting the 1200fps loads to make sure I'm knocking steel down. Hope this helps. I'm a newbee and learing alot of the forum thanks to all those that share there info.

  7. Paid $710 for my sx2 off gunbrokers said was like new. When i got it it was brand new never shot came with 3 chokes. Its the 3 1/2chamber turkey version 24" barrel heavy piston. I know i paid about $75 to much for it but it came in oringal box manual, so to me it was worth it. It cycles the remington gun club loads 1 1/8 with no problems.

  8. Thanks again for info guys. Just got done looking at nordic and briley stuff. Going with the nordic, keeping heavy piston and shoot 1 1/8. Now just deciding which velcro side saddle to get. Any suggestions. Thanks again Mike

  9. Thanks for the info. I'll just keeping shooting it for now to break it in. So far I like it and think it will be a good 3gun platform. Any thoughts on briley vs nordic for mag tube extension. I want to shoot 8+1. Been going back reading other posts on sx2,and fn slp but trying to get info for the 3 1/2 chamber. Any other info or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks again for helping a neewbee. Mike

  10. Got tired of waiting for mossberg 3 gun sg. Went and bought a new winchester sx2 on auction shot it today. Its the turkey version 3 1/2 chamber 24" barrel with the heavy piston. Ran 40 remington gun club loads thru it. Only had to hand cycle it one time and that was on the 3rd shot. Ran perfect after that. Have to get the goodies to make it 3 gun ready, mag extension, shell caddies that attach to side of gun. Would a light piston be able to shoot lighter loads as the ones I were shooting were 1 1/8. Any other suggestions would be helpful with this gun. Shot only 1 3gun match in October and got bite by the bug hard love it. thanks mike
