  1. Look familiar???? LOL 3.6gr Tightgroup with Lead 122 sized .357 shoots 3in at 50 yards all day long for practice.... Thanks Doug! You are the man!
  2. Hello Everyone, It is definitely hard times for us guys who like to reload. 9mm XTP and Zero ammo will be hard to get this year. I am planning to just use the JHP for 50 yards and start shooting lead at 25 yards. Does anyone have an accurate load for 9mm KKM 1:32 twist. I know the 1:32 twist is very picky. Thank you in advance. Be safe
  3. I tried 2.7 WST with Rem HBWC 148 gr. Did not group good at 50 yards... You recommend 3.0 WST? How was the grouping at 50 yards for you. I have a 1:14 twist. 3.0 grains of WST delivers good accuracy in my 1:14 twist Douglas barrels - I load so that about 1/16" of the projectile is out of the case and use a very light roll crimp. Group size is usually 2" or better off hand at 50 yards. In a sitting position it is not uncommon to have three or four holes touching. Awesome!!!! Thank You!!! Just trying to find good loads for PPC 50 yard line... I will try that load....
  4. Thank you Sir for you info.. Sorry never heard of AA2. Is that Accurate Arms # 2. Thanks in advance!!!!

  6. Thanks guys!!! I used a 10 pound spring and it worked. I was shocked because I had a 7 pound recoil spring and it did not work. Thanks for all your advice....
  7. I have a 6 inch bushing 1911. I use Wolf recoil spring. I tried 8, and 7 pounds and it will still not lock to the rear. Any advice?
  8. Hello Everyone, Does anyone know what is a good recoil spring for a 6 inch Springfield 1911. I called Springfield and they told me they were not sure. I shoot 115 gr with 5.0 grs of VV330 and it does not lock back to the rear. I use the Metal forum mags. Thank you guys in advance!!!
  9. Hello everyone, Has anyone used 38 spl Remington 148 gr HBWC with VV-N310? Just trying to find an accurate load for 50 yards. Thank You in advance!!!! I have been using 231 at 3.1 gr and Bullseye at 2.7-2.8 gr.
  10. I had the same problem with my Kimber custom TLE. I got different mags and it fixed the problem and I made the OAL at 1.255.
  11. AriM had some great pics showing the areas mentioned above. My son shoots a Kimber Custom Classic Target, and his seems to run through the SWC just fine, so I pull the two appart and started comparing things. The throat of the two is pretty much the same - same angle and well polished, but I did notice the hood on his is beveled but is not on my GM. How important is this bevel to the feed problem? I may also polish the upper inside of the chamber as recommended. If the OAL is much longer than 1.25 it seems the SWC hang up on the barrel hood when manually ejected (as in when showing clear), but I may try changing OAL a little. I have a case of the SWC sitting under my loading bench, so I would like to get these to work. But in case I cant, I did order a case of the FPRN - because they do seem to work very well in my GMII, and I'll relegate the SWC to static target practice. Any additional suggestions would be appreciated. I had the same problem with my Kimber custom TLE. I got different mags and it fixed the problem and I made the OAL at 1.255.
  12. Thank You everyone for your advice!!!! It really fixed the problem... Be Safe, Sean F.
  13. Hello Everyone, My 1911 seems to feed better at 1.255-1.260 oal with the Bear Creek 200 SWC. Is that too long? I use VV-N310 powder at 4.7 grains. When I use nosler I load at 1.200 to 1.210. Thanks in advance!!!!
  14. I will give that a shot!!! I have Wilson Combat. Any magus that you like? Thanks again for your advise.
  15. Not a good idea. Crimp is not what holds the bullet in place in an auto loader, neck tension is. Overcrimping can cause all sorts of other issues. +1 typically LESS crimp improves case neck tension. to a point. I notice its even with my duty ammo 230 grain bullets (factory ammo)... I have a 650. Yes my sizing die is screwed all the way down too. My crimp is at .469-.472. I tried different ammo and its causing it to go from 1.245 to 1.235. Not all the time; however, it will be the first round that I chamber or when I use the slide release. Thanks everyone for your response...

  17. Hello Everyone, I have a Kimber Custom 2 TLE. I am loading Nosler 185 gr at 1.235 oal. After I make ammo I check to see the ammo feeds. I have noticed ever time I chamber a round or speed reload the oal of the ammo will change. For example, If its at 1.245 it will go to 1.241. Does anyone have this problem?
  18. Hello everyone, I know the USMC Bullseye guys use Nosler 185 grain with vv-n310 at 4.0 grains. Does anyone know there OAL? Thanks in advance.... I think they use a 14 pound spring.
  19. Thank you. I will check it out.... I need all the help I can get...
