I should re-phrase that, I think about "it" while I'm doing mag changes on the "throne"-- LOL

I think about while I'm doing mag changes on the thrown-- every morning!

I shoot as many as I can afford, how do all you guys even count them?

Hi,
I find that when the Grams springs are new their tension is (sometimes) to high when the mag is fully loaded. This causes the gun to feed the first few rounds off the top of a fully loaded mag to nose dive. When the round nose dives, it seems to be sticking in the rim of the round below it as the slide tries to feed it. Sometimes you need to adjust the feed lips. Sometimes after the spring sets, which could be many loading and un-loadings, it will stop nose diving. Sometimes you need to take a coil off the bottom of the spring. And of course it may be the rounds OAL too.
I had this problem with my 40 Caspian Mags. I had to squish the mag front to back .15, adjust the feed lips and cut a coil off the spring. All that got me a 21 round re-loadable mag, which works with any bullet at any OAL. Good Luck I know it can be frustrating.

Thanks for the information on the front sight sci. That saves me a lot of work!

On the Mags, Caspian now sends out a informational sheet that tells you how to make the new 40's run with 20 or 21 rounds depending on the follower. I have mine set up with the Grams spring and follower, I get a reliable 21 in all of my mags. One problem is, at least that I have is. The Mags get a bulge right where the mag tappers up into the feed lips. This seems to start happening after a year or so of use. I think the same problem happens with the 38 super mags.
I would be interested to know if anyone else is having this problem.

Very Nice!!!

Carmoney, Thanks for the explanation, wowee! I'm going to have it worked than. Any suggestions on the front sight? i.e. mill it off or drill it out and put in a FO? Is that silver soldered in?

What is Warren's web site?

I guess the 25-2 I just got is going to cost a lot of money to get running judging from the post by Carmoney. Maybe I should sell it before I even shoot it?
Any suggestions?

Hi,
Hoping to see the stages soon---
Does anyone know where to get an Ipsc box ???
-
I have a Caspian Race ready, they come in heavy. When I got done taking metal out, it came in at 42.9 with the heaviest mag, (1 out of 10) I have in it at the local post office. It was the same at SS nationals. One thing for sure is the box at Nationals is the tightest I have come across. Our Section box is loose in comparison.

Doesn't the system as it is now define what plaque, place or prize you'll get at the table. Then if you've won, move you to the next higher class?
If that is what is was designed to do I think it does that. It keeps us all shooting for the next prize table, right?

Try Paul Grundhauser out of Minnesota, We also have a metal shop that does the Ionbond type finish--Flame metal, Rogers, MN

Hi,
I leave it all in the truck. One time forgetting the stuff was enough for me.

This may be a little out there but,
Take one of your mag's over to your vise. Put it in the padded vise down to about 1/2 inch from the base pad with the pad on and about 3 inches up from there on the mag and squeeze it so it is .1 to .15 bigger. Now try and load 21. Oh you need to squeeze front to back not side to side. That's rim to bullet if you know what I mean. Doing this will give you a little more room in the middle of the mag. Let me know how it turns out.

I was just shooting today. I Shooter had a Kimber SS in .45 he said he only had about 6k though it. Locked up, broke the barrel link as far as we could tell. So! Find, a good gunsmith. I use Paul Grundhauser in MN.
Good luck!

I think the thread Fast C or Slower A's says it all.

I like 10 too. Because of those put your mag's on the barrel or in a box and barrels or just leaving them set where ever x's 2. Extra is better.

This first and third person stuff is intriguing. After some reflection I believe I've always thought in the first person. Maybe.
That is if I'm understanding the conversation?
Unlike BE I feel as though I need to talk myself into going as fast as can still seeing the sights. I have learned that I don't need to win every stage and on the other hand, I need to not blow up.
I feel as though I have a good relaxed focus-- it is really really hard to keep that up on each and every stage. Any suggestions?
