Is glorious, no?
-
This is why I love these targets so much, I enjoy the whining. Also, having talent for these helps make up for my lack of talent elsewhere. If you're having target problems, I feel bad for you son. I've got 99 problems but a spinner ain't one.
Geco 124gr ammo is the commercial ticket for these targets if you're at a match without magnets.

It doesn't really matter which one you start with. What matters is not missing.
Yep, and it's all about timing in order to land those hits. The real key that I have found is to remember to break the shot(s) BEFORE the paddle swings vertical. The delay between the brain saying SHOOT! and the hammer falling is going to cause you to either miss entirely or land a hit at the end of the swing where it can do the least good. I see a lot of guys shooting too late on spinners, especially when it's a rifle spinner.
Typically (with pistol) I'll doubletap the top plate, and try to double or triple the bottom as it swings back. After that it's a double tap on the bottom and a single on the top until it goes over.

Is there a round count yet?

Yup those clever but strange beasts. Brilliant machines and so fun to ride, but not something I'd call enjoyable to adjust.
-
Seems like there might be some slots now, it just let me register.
EDIT, never mind I'm on the wait list and can't read good apparently.

I might get to be the crash test dummy on that one. EAA has my pistol now, and I've got a feeling the shearing lugs could be related to that chamber issue.

The rear sight i listed says adjustable for windage and elevation. Only reason is to fix the shooting left problem. It's the only gun i have that does it. Its doing it when it's bench rested as well.
All you need to do is drift the rear sight to the right a bit to correct this. It's an effective and extremely inexpensive solution.
I love throwing money at my guns as much as anyone, but it's really not the easiest solution here.

Quirky Italian machines.... check!
Joy to use when working... check!
The only difference is they are much easier to get running right than a Ferrari....or even a fiat!
And thankfully nothing like a Ducati valve adjustment.

I'm sympathetic. Honestly a $450 cz75b has better consistency for fit and finish than these things do by a long shot. They also seem to be less likely to have issues like my locking lugs or that chamber problem.
They are just quirky and annoying Italian machines that are a joy to use when they behave.

I'm not expecting anything out of EAA for at least a week or two though.

I'm curious as to if this is the reason my 2015 Stock II started shearing lugs like the barrel wasn't fitted correctly in my other thread. I never thought to check the chamber, and I really wish I had.
Of course it got to Florida just in time for EAA to shut down for the hurricane so it's in delivery limbo.

Any of them if you've got a grinder and some courage...

Boutique ammo did not matter.
I, for one, really wish I had brought some 41 pellet 3" #4 pocket claymores for the team stage. 9 pellet 00 just didn't get enough hits to be competitive.

Yes they said send it in, if you're the original owner they'll cover it. Basically a form letter. I haven't had a chance to ship it just yet.

the best stage I have shot in a long time (maybe ever) - Roberts Ridge:
That stage is so deceptively simple sounding. Three 12" gongs at about 300 yards plus another at 100 ish? No sweat right?
Oh wait, you have to engage a long and short target on command, from a crappy position, in seven seconds, and by the way only one shot each. Humbling is the best way I can describe it, especially when shooting irons.

Great match, amazing location, and that prize table was out of control.
That was easily the most challenging rifle shooting I have had at a 3gun match. I definitely look forward to another one of these.
-
I realize that, but it's the only cone barrel in the store for me to get a general price range from.

Angus and his band of merry misfits is known for great customer service though.

I had enough of her "Sir-ing" everyone.

This will end in tears and heat injuries.
See everyone at the meeting tomorrow

Shipping fees are the least of my worry here. I'm more worried about the $300 price tag on the Limited barrel since there's no Stock II barrel for sale on the webstore.
It went into battery just fine, I collected and measured all but two of the cases I fired and they were all in spec for length. (the other two got sacrificed to the grass gods)

I hope you're right. I sent an email off to them and hopefully I'll get something back that isn't along the lines of "I hope you got a great deal, because that's a $300 barrel and $100 for fitting."
Well better in my backyard than at the Resurgence match next week, guess the P09 is coming along now.
Stock II shearing lugs

Update: they slapped a whole new top end on there "as a courtesy." So things are looking up.
Now to see if they kept my Dawson front sight or not.
