As a total unknown, Robbie won the nationals in 1983 (and I was second) - and if he didn't win every stage he won all but one. No one, especially John Shaw, was ready for the pain Robbie brought to the match (and I know that because John told me, he finished third).
Didn't Plaxco win '82?

Cross Timbers Action Shooting has matches in Fort Worth and at Triple C Tactical in Cresson. They are probably the closest to you.

^ beautiful! Do you have any barrel holes set up like the gold team or do you run the comp and no ports?
Sent from my SM-J700T1 using Tapatalk
It's actually a limited Custom with just a comp. No holes.

Agreed.
This used to be called "freeboring" a barrel (deepening the lead)
"Throating" referred to altering the feedramp to improve feeding.

Just don't bother with a 40 pitch tap. That was for back in the day when guys had to match the gap with a file and wanted to cut as little as possible. Since you have a lathe and can fit the gap with that just use 32 or something like that. They're cheaper, easier to find and last longer.

interesting tidbit that has held me back in the hardchrome quest. taken from FAQ on infinity/svi website Q: Do you offer Chrome Plating as a finish option?
A: Our stated goal in manufacturing is to go further in innovation and quality. A large part of quality is longevity and reliability. Due to the hydrogen embrittlement implications of hard chroming we find this process is detrimental to the quality of the product.
This was more of an issue with tools made from much harder tool steels like stamping punches causing cracking. I think it's less of an issue with the softer steels of guns.
Mahovsky's Metalife is a good product.

No more than 100sfm which is about 1000rpm for a 3/8" sized cutter.
And perhapsconsider going lower, like maybe 60sfm since 100 is typical for low carbon steel and a slide is hardened 4140.

Ordered from Henning on a Monday night and didn't even hear my cell phone ring less than an hour later. Called me at work the next morning and I had my mags and parts two days later. Excellent service.

Keep updating this if you don't mind. I find it very interesting (the eye) and how they are able to fix most things that go wrong with it.
My eye doc was telling me there is work going on where they are using some flexible type of lens that will react very closely to the normal lens as in being able to change shape as it focuses on near and far. Said the natural lenses become less flexible with age but the muscles that control the lens still work pretty good.
Also said it will probably not be perfected in our lifetime
I bet it is....

Are you sure it's not a parting line from MIM?

Pistol Dynamics gives you 90 days, then they cancel the project and sell the gun.

"This needs fixed", or "that needs fixed". Aaargh!! It needs TO BE fixed. Maybe it's a Colorado thing, I never heard it anywhere else.
They did it in Oregon. Everybody's lawn there "needs mowed".

Way too slow. You'll get LOTS of fire!

When my boss wants to check on how (anyone) is doing he walks up and asks "everything going your way?" After a few hundred times I'm really sick of it. Today I was asking someone else a question, he did it and I just turned to him and said "no".
