New Shooter

Hi! Need Good advice! I mainly shoot 40 SW and 9 mm. I dont know anything about reloading. But with the cost of ammo here, I've decided to purchase a Dillon 550B reloader. I dont however know what else I have to get to be able to reload. I've asked a friend to get my equipment from the U.S. because the cost here is absolutely prohibitive, example: the 550B (US)$670+; .40 Conversion Kit $70+/-; Primer Flip Tray $35+/-; etc. BELIEVE IT!!! I therefore must get my shopping list complete and correct the first time or ending up buying it here at double the price! Here's my shopping list: 550B CV-500 Euro Vibratory Case Cleaner Conv Kit 9mm Parabellum Conv Kit .40 S&W Powder Die Toolhead Toolhead Stand Primer Flip Tray Primer Pickup tubes Caliper .40 S&W 3 Die Set .9 mm 3 Die Set Spare Decapping Pins 550B Video Instruction Manual Reloader 40SW Manual Reloader 9mm Manual Minus the brass, lead & powder; - Is this all I will need? - Anything else I should get now; or because I will need it later? - How many of what should I have? I plan to have my friend get them from Brian which even has a discount?! Thanks

Erik, I have a G27. I don't get a sting on the backstrap. But with its small frame, my problem has always been to accidentally push the slide lock lever with my right thumb, thereby causing it to fail in locking the slide after the last shot. I thought this "gadget" might solve it.

jessej, Million thanks again. I'll borrow a friends G19 slide, barrel, extractor and mag, and try it. I'll let you know what happens ASAP.

Saw two new gadgets for the Glock that claim to reduce recoil: (1) Recoil Control Thumb Rest by Smart Lock; and (2)Pro Handgun System by LimbSaver; has anyone out there tested these things? Do they work? Thanks

jessej, Sorry my mistake. I meant the locking block on the G19 not G26 as compared to that of the G23. Golly Gee WoW THANKS FOR THAT IMMEDIATE REPLY AGAIN!

Kindly educate me. I own a G23. You mean to tell me that if I have a complete G19 upper (slide & barrel) I can just mount it on the G23 without any other modifications on the receiver such as the extractor? Has anybody done this? Is is safe? Thanks!
