  1. You change guns more than underwear! I thought just 6 months ago you didn't like your 2011 because of the balance, so you got a CZ Tac Sport for limited? :surprise:

You don't know any 6 inch shooters at your local match?

That would be a better process than asking a buncha dudes on a forum, where opinions run rampant.

  2. I always go back and forth on the issue of just how much cant is necessary because from a physical standpoint, grip/clamp force is extremely compromised when the wrist is angled to an extreme degree.

If you have a tool that measures grip, test it with your wrist straight and when it is canted. There is a big difference.

Lately I guess my hand/fingers just follow the angle of the front strap/front fingers as my hand grabs over them.

Yesterday I was gripping with my support hand so hard that I removed live skin from the middle knuckle area on my strong hand. :surprise:

I am gonna order a set of CoC grippers today. I think I will start with a 2, based on what I have heard (I have been into the iron game for awhile and never use straps or any assistance devices for pulls/deadlifts/etc).

  3. The DAA bracket is significantly narrower in comparison to others that I've tried i.e. CR Speed and Safariland. The DAA bracket itself is perhaps 1/2" wide in comparison to 1" to 1-1/8" or so for the others.

    This.

I have a 28 inch waist and run the DAA racers at 90. It saves a ton of room.

I considered the Ghost, but realized early on that the belt hanger/bracket width would not provide any spacing benefit.

  4. Might have been covered:

I can't get it adjusted low enough. I like the back strap even with the top of my belt.

    What's the solution?

What model are you referring to?

I have the RM and can't get it low enough either.

Anyone know if the racer hanger allows more drop?

  5. Any pointers/tips in regards to my draw?

I feel like I can minimize wasted movement but not really sure where or how to go about doing so.

Am I moving my shoulders too much going for the draw?

0.7 set on the timer (which is probably too fast for me right now but was trying to push it) to 1/3 scale target 10 feet away. Just for a sight picture. No trigger press.

Getting batteries for the smoke detector in the morning. Started going off tonight. LOL.

  6. Just went through this myself. I just ordered a .160 Dawson for my STI.

I usually have a black serrated SV front blade. SV and and Dawson sight bases are different, so their .180's are not equivalent. With the Dawson 180 I have to jack the rear Bomar up really high and I hate it. With the SV 180 the sight is not cranked up much.

I used my calipers to figure out that an SV 180 is equivalent to a Dawson 160 or so when measured from bottom of base to top of sight blade.

Cliffnotes: Order a lower front if you don't want the rear so high. :roflol:
