  1. There is no way in hell I will find a gun that cannot shoot a load I can buy in a store acceptable. Not gonna bother with hand loads or any of that crap. If it can't shoot it can't shoot, not wasting my time with it. It will continue to go back to S&W.

I get what you're saying. Although rest assured, hand loading isn't crap or a waste of time. (I know you didn't mean it that way-- just poking a little fun.)

I only brought it up in case you had tried, as it could provide some information that might help identify (or at least eliminate) some causes of the problem.

If you're looking for 2" @ 25 with 115 grain stuff, though... you're going to be out of luck with the M&P and the stock barrel, I'm afraid. I'm not even sure how the KKM or SL barrels handle those pills, but I suspect that the Barsto fitted will probably be able to claim that and more. Although I'm not sure what twist rate they plan on using...

I have the KKM drop in with AA&A 115 good stuff I get 2" or better

    with my pro

  2. I have a kkm barrel on mine and it shoots awesome. If it were me before I sold a M&P that had problems with accuracy I would double down and buy a KKM barrel for 170 bucks and see if I can resolve the problem I think that would be less money Then the money I would lose in reselling the gun. Everyone that is complaining of accuracy issues with the M&p is having the barrel replaced and the problems are going away or getting better so honestly I believe it's going to be something barrel related. They must have had a bad batch of barrels because some people the gun shoots perfect and others are having problems

  3. Ended up just using Winchester white box for the local matches. For the US Steel national I tested some AAA 115 JHP hollow points. They are totally awesome!!!! Recoil is just a hair more then the 147s I tested. Almost can not tell. The groups we amazing!!

  4. Thanks guys. I shoot Steel 90% of the time. The closest plate in the local match is usually around 7-10 yards out. I almost alway take the closest plate first. I have worked on my draw and my first shot on the the plate is a 1.1-1.5 At 1.1 I am at the edge out of control. a 1.25-1.4 seems to be where I am at. I don't shoot any kind of classifier to know where I am at A,B,C,....

  5. I have been taking my shooting a bit more serious in the last few months. I only shoot about 5-6 months out of the year due to other hobbies. I have been working on my draw as I shoot mostly steel matches. What would be a good time for say an "A" shooter from the surrender for the first shot on target, from a production set up?

    Thanks

  6. I am looking for the most accurate 9mm 115 ammo for my M&P pro with a KKM barrel. Called KKM they suggested that due to the twist I stick with 115 if possible. This works well with my 160 fronts sight. I due not reload. I know AA&A has the AMU ammo but it is to pricy for me. Looking for something I can buy for up to $285 per 1000. Has anyone done tests at 25 yards off a rest or better yet a ransom rest? what group sizes?

    Thanks

  7. I was just curious about how much the top Pros in this sport make a year. People like Max Micheal, Jerry Miculek, Todd Jarrett, Doug Koeing, Dave S.....and so on. Curious because I have followed the sport on Shooting USA for the past 10 years or so. I also am a BIG motocross/supercross fan and I know that it is not a huge sport like football, baseball,....and so on. But the top PROS in motocross/ supercross make can make 3-7 million a year with sponsers and their contracts. I don't think shooting makes anywhere near that money, but I would guess it has to be 100k to 300k. But I really have not idea. If someone knows please let me know.

    Thanks in advance
