  1. I just picked up a second, Pro in 9mm, and it shoots 4-6" lower at 25 yards than my first one.

I switched them back and forth several times, just to make sure it wasn't me, and was using the same load in both. :surprise:

YUP... same situation for me... exact same loads, but BIG difference in POI

That is not good, Like mentioned above you could switch out for a lower front or an adjustable rear. If you have any other questions on the subject shoot me a PM.

  2. Looks good but I have never been a fan of mounting the red dot on the slide. Always been faster running irons than that setup. SSS is working on a optic mount that should fix this problem. Love the comp and KKM barrel!

  3. I didn't have to file off the legs of the follower, but the flat metal piece for the locking mechanism of the factory basepads must go, then they work great.

Even with the metal removed (Which should always be done anyways) about 98% of the time you need to tune the magazine to work. Each magazine needs its own amount taken off to work. I have set these up for lots of the guys at the range and each time some take less and some take more. I have only seen one time where the magazine took the full amount without any mods.

  4. I wouldn't waste my money on a larue. After many tests between ADM, BOBRO and LaRue the only two that return to zero after several times of mounting is the BOBRO and ADM. The LArue will dig into the metal of your rail causing it to lose zero after so many times in my tests this was right around 10-15 times. The change was not horrid but there was a change. I know that LaRue has a cult like following so I will take some heat for telling the truth but there it is. Mark tries to say it is a grease on the rail that needs to be wiped clean with some mineral spirits but that is simply not true. I am not the only person with this issue. If you plan on leaving the scope on the rifle which in most cases is the case. Then buy any of the three for they all are made well. If you plan on having the QD for in the event you need to ditch the scope then buy any of the three. If you are going to be taking the scope on and off everytime it goes in your bag buy anything other than LaRue.

    JMHO

  5. I've owned one, basically a glock with a crappy trigger.

I am sorry were you saying Glock has a good trigger? The sigma and glock are about the same. The M&Ps have some of the best trigger out there. I have shot all and own glocks and M&Ps and with a trigger job and everything the glock still is not for me.

  6. I don't know why the web sites don't explain this better but you have to take some of the legs of the followers for them to hold more. I took a file to mine until I got the full amount to work. The guy I purchased mine from told me about this before I got them or else I would have been the guy asking the question.

Take the taller legs on the follower and file them close to the same size as the other side. Remember you can always take more but you cannot put material back on so take some then check then take more if needed. Also when you feel strong tention while loading smack the bottom of the magazine then load the rest. Good luck.

  7. Try to get in the habbit of not running any of the magazines dry. I always try to reload before the slide locks open on an empty magazine. Also I agree that you shouldn't be slamming anything into the magwell at any time. The smoother you are the faster you will be. I see "slamming" as being a nervous issue more than anything.

Get comfortable with your gun and find a system that always works for you.

  8. Looks great! What kind of groups can you shoot with it?

It shoots 3 inch groups at fifteen yards. I have yet to see if I can close that up some but a 3 MOA handgun is fine for me.

I did find that the HK Black Duracoat matches the rest of the gun almost perfect and looks better than the shine it had before. I am running a Fifteen pound spring and shooting major to answer some of the PMs I got.

Hate to nit-pick but 3 MOA would be 3" at 100 yards. That would be HELLA good for a handgun. That being said, I ran almost this exact set-up for Limited before I got my STI and it was SWEET. Super fast handling.

Sorry I have been shooting Long range for to long. Thanks for pointing that out, lol :)

  10. Look great. I've got a question. Could a person smooth under the trigger guard? Mine eats into my middle finger. Would that be allowed for production?

You could smooth it out and I don't see why it wouldn't be allowed under Production. You just can't do the finger points and the trigger as well as the strikeplate in he back.

  11. If you are after a good conceal carry holster I find it hard to beat the SuperTuck by Crossbread. By far the best holster on the market for these guns if that is the application you are going to use it for.

  12. So I built a "Limited" gun for shooting USPSA and modified my M&P .40 FS. Gun shoots great and even better with some new parts.

    I added the KKM barrel,

    SSS Tugsten guide rod,

    SSS magwell,

    Taylor Freelance Base Pads,

    High power mag springs,

    Lightening on the slide.

Stippled Grip and finger points along with trigger.

    Duracoated the slide.

    Green Fiber optic front sight,

    Burwell Rear Sight,

Trigger Job and Apex comp spring set.
