  1. We have received numerous emails and phone calls regarding dates for the 2015 TFD3G event and I apologize for not getting updates posted sooner than this as I know that most are already planning for their 2015 season. Unfortunately the TFD3G Championship will not be happening next year. There are numerous reasons that are causing this and I apologize for any inconvenience. We are going to do our very best to bring this event back in 2016 and make it bigger and better. We greatly appreciate all the support from our great sponsors and shooters and staff alike that have assisted/supported this great event over the past two years. I hope to see everyone at a match in the future. Best of luck to all and be safe. Take care Mike Cassidy
  2. I would like to start off by saying thank you to all that attended the 2014 Task Force Dagger 3-Gun Championship. Despite the bad weather on Friday we were able to stay on schedule and complete the match thanks to our GREAT ROs and staff! It would have been impossible to do it without them. A HUGE thank you to all of our great sponsors that participated and supported this years event. I think it is safe to say that we had an EPIC prize table for all of the competitors. A huge... thanks to our title match sponsor Adams Arms for stepping up in a big way and smothering the prize table with great product and guns. On top of that they continue to support the Task Force Dagger Foundation in a huge way! Gold: JP Enterprises, Lancer, Leupold Optics, Oneida Molded Plastics, Otis Technologies, Remington Defense, Schmidt & Bender.... Silver: Berger Bullets, Double Star Corp, Kel-Tec, Magpul, Samson Manufacturing, Strategic Armor Corps, Tactical Night Vision Co., Warne Scope Mounts.... Bronze: ATK, B5 Systems, Barnes Precision Machine, Beretta, Colt, Costa Del Mar, Daniel Defense, Dissident Arms, Ergo Grips, Exos Defense, FNH USA, Hear-Pro, JABs Extreme Steel Targets, Knights Armament, Nightforce, OSS Mission, Sierra 7 Bipods, KFS Industries, Sig Sauer, Smith & Wesson, Stag Arms, Steiner, TAC-SCI, Telluric Group, U.S. Tactical Supply, Vortex Optics, XRail, Templar Tactical, Mega Arms, Thunderbeast Arms.... Contributors: Brownells, Darley Defense, Desert Tech, Geissele Automatics, Glock, Kestrel Weather Meters, Lapua, Oakley Elite, Shooters Connection, U.S. Optics, G-code, London Bridge I would also like to say thank you to Legion Operator Training Group for allowing us to host the match at their awesome facility. There is no way we could have the challenging stage designs without having it here. Also, thank you to Henry's for providing the great food during the match as well as the outstanding dinner on Saturday evening. We are definitely going to request that they come back again next year. We hope that everyone had a great time and I'm sure that there are many stories that will be told for years to come! We would love to see any videos and photos that you may have. Feel free to post them if you have them and we look forward to seeing you again next year. Stay tuned for more updates and next years match announcement. Take care and good shooting to you all! Mike
  3. Just want to give everyone a heads up (I'm sure most will love this), there will not be a shooters meeting Friday morning 28th since the jump team was canceled. You will be given a shooters brief at your first stage of the match by the staff prior to shooting. This is going to be a lot of fun and you are going to love the prize table. Head over to the match website www.tfd3g.com and check out all the great sponsors that are supporting the match this year. Make sure to thank them as well and also stop by there websites to check out the great products they offer. Each sponsor logo on the match website is hyperlinked to their website, so just click on the logo. We will do our best to keep up with everyone's questions and check back as frequently as possible but starting this Friday we will be at Legion setting up for the match. We look forward to seeing everyone there. Safe travels and good luck! Mike
  4. We will have a zero range open and ready for use all day Thursday and most likely it will be available throughout the weekend in case someone needs it. It will go out to a minimum of 100 yards but maybe further.
  5. Yes these are the same folks that provided food for SE3GC. Great food at a great price.
  6. Hello folks, we are getting close to the match and everything is coming together GREAT! I hate to make this announcement, but unfortunately the Jump team will not be putting on a demo to kick off the match this year. The Silver Wings are a military intity so with that comes priorities and unfortunately they have to do a demo jump for an Airborne School graduation that morning so will not be able to attend TFD3G. We were really looking forward to this and it was going to be a very exciting way to kick off the match. Hopefully we can make it happen next year. We look forward to seeing everyone at the match. Safe travels! Mike
  7. Hello folks, I just want to let everyone know that we will be selling dinner tickets during registration. We were planning to host a staff only dinner on Saturday the 29th, but figured we would extend the dinner option to all the competitors as well. The dinner will be provided by Henry's "A Taste of Lousiana" http://www.henrysatasteoflouisiana.com/History.html They will have someone in the registration office collecting money for dinner upon request of you the shooter. You will only be able to purchase dinner tickets during registration to ensure that Henry's has an accurate head count for food. So if you are interested make sure you purchase it during registration. Their food is top notch! Cost: $16 per Menu: - BBQ Chicken & Ribs with Baked Beans, Green Salad and dinner rolls Looking forward to seeing everyone at the match! Only 3 weeks
  8. Folks, we have taken everything into consideration i.e. your feedback, daylight availability, making it as equal for all shooters as possible etc. With that being said we have settled on a 4-3-2 and 3-4-2 format. What that means is some squads will shoot 4 stages on the first day and others will shoot 4 stages on the second day with everyone shooting 2 stages on Sunday. This should still have us finishing up with shooting around 1:30-2:00 PM with prize table shortly after. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the match. Things are coming along great and we appreciate all the support from everyone. It's going to be a lot of fun this year! Take care Mike
  9. Okay, I see that we have a couple of votes to shoot 4,4 and 1 for number of stages per day. We are taking a hard look at the shooting schedule right now to see what is most beneficial. We initially planned on shooting 3,3,3 but as you know that will have us finishing up late in the afternoon on Sunday. If we switch to the 4,4,1 schedule it will have squads/shooters shooting late into the afternoon on Friday and Saturday. Prob. starting their last stage at around 5:30 pm and finishing up around 6:45 or 7 pm. We are struggling with this right now on whether we have folks shoot late and leave early or finish a little early each day and leave sunday evening. What are your thoughts and wishes with regards to this?

  11. You can see it here a few seconds into the video, as well as the other stages and bits of awesome that make this match so unique. Awesome video MiniUzi. Thanks for sharing it!
  12. WOW! I've seen a lot of different posts from various shooters over the past 6-8 months regarding the "want" for a Schmidt & Bender 3-27X optic. With that being said, I think everyone will be happy to hear that there will be one on the prize table this year. That's almost a $7,000 piece of glass for all you avid long range shooters. Thank you VERY much to Schmidt & Bender for supporting the match again this year! As I mentioned before, there are a lot of REALLY nice products up for grabs this year. Mike
  13. Thanks for all the feedback folks! I love it. We will make sure it's achievable but still tests your ability and gets your heart rate up prior to shooting long range!
  14. We'll you guys heard it. If you have any complaints about the stages being too challenging, physical or "hard" you may go directly to John! It's all his fault.
  15. Thanks for the input. Sand bag weight differences are an easy fix. I guess it will have to be a longer pull this year since it's strait line. Well if you disregard all the targets that you have to engage on the way you will never have to stop and start again Thanks for the input. Should be a fun stage! quote name="New4John" post="2105281" timestamp="1392583737"] Input from the wife as one of the more fit, but smaller in stature competitors last year: Weight & distance were about perfect. Many factors tho. She had to pull it after it rained and the sand bags were soaked & super heavy...put it absolute borderline for her and even for some of the men on her squad. Take that in to consideration on the weight. Distance: last year was good, it was the turn that was the game changer. I agree with her here. Could be a little further if it was a straight line, but getting momentum & then having to turn, you basically started over. Just our $0.02
  16. So, how heavy do you "the competitor" think this years skedco should be and how long of a pull? Just curious how you guys feel about it. If you consider yourself one of the more "in shape/fit" shooters coming to the match then I would like to hear from you as well as the youngest smallest shooter that may be in attendance. Let's hear it!
  17. The prize table is looking REALLY good! If you ever wanted to shoot a match and walk a prize table that has high end, top quality products on it then this is your chance. So far we have everything from T-shirts and hats to Surgeon bolt action rifle, night vision, suppressors (multiple), ARs, AR furniture, optics, Ammunition, eye wear, rails, triggers, cleaning kits etc. etc. the list goes on. Shoot well and I assure you that you will walk away very happy. I couldn't say thank you enough to all of the great sponsors who are supporting this years TFD3G event. Especially Adams Arms who has signed up as the Title Match Sponsor. We look forward to seeing everyone at the match! Mike
  18. Be patient buddy. It will come. We manually have to "approve" each registration then the email will be sent out to you as the shooter with a link so that you can self squad.
  19. Hello Folks, Please check out the press release that our Title Match Sponsor "Adams Arms" published http://www.prweb.com/releases/2014/02/prweb11549348.htm. Please feel free to post and share it to further spread the word. We look forward to seeing you at the match.
  20. I see that a few folks are excited about the hand grenades and I hope that I do not let you down with this message, but unfortunately they will not be "live" hand grenades (for obvious reasons). They will be actual military style hand grenades, but inert. All in all I think that you guys will really enjoy that stage as well as the rest of them.
  21. I really appreciate you guys adding some clarity to the match fee question. I wanted to add in again that there are monies that are being donated directly back to the Task Force Dagger Foundation. Although it may seem a little high when you look at the match entry fee by itself, but as some folks already mentioned, a match of this magnitude takes quite a bit to put on especially when you are a new match and trying to get it off the ground. On top of that we want to ensure that we have money left over after everything is said and done so that we can give back to an organization that supports those that have given so much for this great country! If you have not read up on the Task Force Dagger Foundation please take a few minutes to visit their website www.taskforcedagger.org We will also have members/shooters from the 3GN/TFD Wounded Warrior 3-Gun Team at the match competing along with the director of the foundation which will have a table set up to provide everyone with more information about the foundation and what exactly they do. Thanks and we look forward to seeing you at the match. Mike
  22. I am actually working on something for next year already. Not saying that you or anyone else will be able to jump with them but I am trying to plan and do something completely out of the ordinary. Not going into details but we shall see if it happens. I do have over a year Let's just keep our fingers crossed that weather becomes our friend and is in our favor so that this thing will happen!
