  1. I just ordered an O.D. green G34 today myself. I used a borrowed one on monday and shot my best match ever with nothing more than 2 dry fires before starting. I had to have one!

Just curious where you ordered it from? Did not think there were any more new ones. Maybe old stock somewhere?

    Enjoy it!!!

  2. Tony is great to work with. Spoke with him Thursday when he told me mine is on its way.

He did say that he was going to the Shot Show, so reaching him may be a little hard this week.

I did ask him to get me an autographed picture of my Salient, that Pop Tart Sprinkle was posing with

on her Face Book Page, I wish it was mine, LOL!

He always answered my emails. If you can't reach him by phone, I would try that. I would order one right away,

because after the Shot Show I'm sure they will have even more orders.

These shotguns are top of the line. I looked at Chivas's again on Saturday. Can't wait to get mine. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks for the info. I sent an email last week to the generic email for Velocity Shooter and have not heard back. Now that I know he is at SHOT, I will wait before following up.

  3. Are the dummy shells the same/about the same weight as a live shell?

If so, might have to get some.

I can always load some shot (no powder) into a fired shell leaving the fired primer in it to practice with. But I like the idea of a dedicated dummy round. Less chance of confusing it with a live round.

  4. I use a Safariland ALS holster not just in 3 gun, but also in LTD and PRD and I like it a lot. It is very secure, easy to draw from (fast), and easy to reholster. Another feature I like about it is you can replace either the belt loop (6377) or the paddle (6378) with a "drop" shank. This will lower the holster similiar to a Blade Tech DOH if that is your preference. Most importantly, the ALS 6377 / 6378 retails between $40 - $50! Great quality at a low price.

Do you have a link for the Drop shank?

I have the 6377 and love it.

    Thanks.

  5. Got one for Xmas. Shot great the other day, can't wait to use it in a match.

I feel much more confident with it than my 19.

Do you dress up like your Avatar for matches too, or is that more of a special occasion thing? :roflol:

    That's only on disco night.

  6. +1 on the C-Rums. What length VR barrel did you get for your SLP?

I just got my lifter back from C-Rums the other day and re-installed it. It makes a heckuva difference to be able to jam shells in quickly without having to worry about the status of my manicure, before or after a practice session. Just stuff and go!

Personally, I think that this is the second-best mod that I've made. (Went with the Vent Rib barrel within a few weeks of purchasing it.)

I am having trouble finding info on C-Rums. Can someone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

  7. I'm getting rid of my Blade Tech for 3-Gun and swapping to a Safariland ALS holster. Probably a model 6378. Excellent retention and speed for holstered pistol starts where you may have some prone or running to do before shooting the handgun. It's also the best with the ELS system, which is freaking awesome.

I have a Safariland ALS 6377 (I think) love it. Bought it for my Glock 19, will probably use it with my Glock 34 once Xmas gets here. The barrel extends about 1", but I don't really see that causing any problems.

  8. Having the same problem. Probably had 50-60 seconds added onto my total time this past weekend b/c of my pistol shooting.

Not blaming the pistol, but the shooter. My life does not allow practice right now, so the matches the past 2 months has been my only real, live fire practice.

I need to slow down since I am a beginner, but knowing that and doing that are 2 different things.

I need to get more dry fire and muscle memory developed at home while watching TV.

I am considering swapping out the rear sights. I have the Glock 3 dot night sights, and thinking about swapping out the rear sights so I just have the front dot. I have trouble with the 3 dots. Figure for $6 I can swap out the rears and always put them back in if I want to.

  9. From now on I will always call first.

I have placed 3 orders with them, and each time an item was back ordered. I really do not like not being able to see what is out of stock on the website.

Might be a little better if they would ship the part of the order that is in stock, then the back ordered item when it is available, but they hold the whole order waiting on the back ordered item.

  10. Just wanted to say Howdy.

Looking to get into 3 gun and competitive shooting and found you guys.

I have joined a new range that just opened here http://texasshootingrange.com/ , and really looking forward to attending shoots out there once they get going. I believe the LaRue 2011 shoot is going to be held there as well, think I will watch this year.

I shot trap and skeet a few years ago, and this past year I have been building my first AR15.

I now have the basic tools for 3 gun, just waiting for a match and the stars to align so I can get away from the family for a day to go shoot. Really looking forward to giving it a try.
