Anyone use this powder in a Pcc? Sounds like a cheaper alternative to n320
Yep, chrono'd yesterday.

Just loaded up some new SNS Casting 180gr Round Nose, non grooved, with 4.6gr N320 @ 1.180" from a 5" STI Edge.
Made 169.0 pf
Really smooth shooting and has been very accurate in my Edges.

Loading for a 2011 around 1.185".
All else being equal do you belive that jacketed, lead or plated will offer the most reliable feeding? Or do you feel it doesn't matter?
I use SNS Casting 200gr RN at .401 and 1.185" OAL with great success in 2011's.

Have you pulled any of the bullets that you're having issues with? Molds can have some variation from one to another, I would try further measurements on the good rounds compared to the iffy ones.

SNS I presume, based on your handle, haha
What are you loading them to? Absolute max length for my barrel with those is 1.255" to plunk and spin.
1.260"

4.0gr of N310 with a 230gr Non-Grooved coated bullet is my go to. Soft and clean with little to no smoke.

Red Dot has worked really well for a few friends of mine who are shooting 165's at major pf.

SNS Casting has a 10% off deal today with code "BLACKFRIDAY10"

I shoot coated SNS 200 RN's in my STI Edge and absolutely love them!
What powder do you like with the 200 RN? I just picked up my first batch of them to try.
I love Solo1000 but it's been impossible to find. My major match load is 4.1gr Vihta Vuori N320 @ 1.185" OAL shooting a STI Edge.
I have also used Autocomp and Ramshot Competition with good results.

Be sure to check the diameter of the bullet. Sizing dies can wear out and leave you with a bullet that is larger than .356"

Win NT is also small prime. Be careful!!!!!!!

Were you using a ransom rest? It would also be great to know your OAL and seating depth for each. ES is not a true indicator of accuracy in this case if the groups didn't come from a solid ransom rest IMO

That bullet is very finicky, which is why several manufacturers have discontinued that bullet profile all together. I'd suggest a bullet with a longer ogive, there are lots of better bullet designs out there!

These are pretty cheap for plinking, especially if you get 10K or more and apply the 10% discount.

Sounds like they were sized through a worn out die. Dies will wear out faster when running coated bullets through them as opposed to the wax lubed bullets.

4.3 WST 230 gr SNS coated RN
^That's a really good load.
My major match load is 3.8gr VV N310 and SNS non grooved 230RN

Good to hear, that 147RN profile is a winner!

Received some today. Great looking bullet. As soon as I convert my Dillon back over to 9mm, I'll load some over my go-to for 147s WSF. From the way they look, expecting good results. Still think their bullets have the coolest color, plus they shoot well.
Have you had a chance to try these out yet?

Do not know if that will help, nice 2011 size grips though.
My thumbs are not gripping the gun, just sort of floating and pointing downrange.
Mr.Dremel has been hard at work on my thumb safety on one of my guns, I left it wide enough to make it easy to intentionally operate but cut about 50% of the width off and put an angle inward from the top outside edge to the bottom outside edge. It was in my way and I would occasionally bump it on when running a course previously.
^This.
I have one on mine and absolutely love it.

Typically when going from a grooved bullet to non grooved, you will lose a little velocity.

They literally just went out the door Dave, thanks!

I'm using this bullet: http://www.snscasting.com/new-45-acp-230-grain-round-nose-coated-1000ct/
My N310 load is 3.7-3.8gr
Looking to try a new powder

You won't regret getting Sport Pistol. Ramshot Competition is my second cost-effective choice.
