  1. Had to dig up my user name and password for this. I have been completely out of shooting for 5yrs to the month. Shot my first match since July 2006 last Saturday. It was pistol/ shotgun with 7 stages.....and it felt good. Finished 4th out of 16 shooters. Im a little rusty but can feel the competitive spirit creeping back. Shooting a new STI and liking it. I moved back to West Texas and have 3 clubs within an hour of me. Gonna ease back into this and try not to over do it.

    I'm back!!!!

  2. Hey guys, haven't been around in awhile and need some help. I have a set of Meprolite tritium sights for a GLock 22. I am trying to find out the manufature date. The front sight says "MH3" on it. That is how I know they are Mepros. The rear has "KJ" "1" on the bottom. Anyone tell me what year these were manufactured? I searched and found nothing and Meprolites web site wasnt any help. Thanks

    Jason

  3. Question, does each shot feel and sound different with either load?

I may can shed a little light on this. I had a some eractic ejection issues with my 35 for awhile. I am shooting TG with a plated 180.

I had multiple things going against me.

    1. I was getting erratic powder dumps from my 550.

    2. I was getting bullet setback. This was found to be SPEER brass that was so thin at the neck that case neck tension and crimping wouldn't hold bullet in place. It took me awhile to figure this one out. I would have a misfeed in a match, rack the slide and move on. When I finally recovered a couple of rounds, I noticed that they were both SPEER brass. I took loaded rounds and could push the bullets back in the SPEER cases by hand but not the Rem, Win, Starline, ........ I started messuring the brass thickness at the case mouth of different brass and found the Speer to be much thinner for some reason???????? The SPEER brass came from a police range. Guessing it is SPEER Lawman ammo?

    3. The plated bullets I was shooting are very slick. A lead bullet seated in the SPEER brass would not set back but the plated one would. I wasn't going to change bullets so out with all the SPEER brass(it also had a dang primer crimp!!!! :( ).

My 550 was do a break down and cleaning. I checked the powder measure and was getting 4.3 - 3.8 on each dump. That was part of the problem. It everything needed to be adjusted back to spec. The bullet set back was another. I now wipe them down with a cloth to get some of the oily residue off them before loading. This can be very dangerous with a high pressure round like the 40. Once I got all of this ironed out, my 35 ran great. Brass piles up just behind me and to the right. Don't know if any of this applies to you, but thought I would share my trial and tribulations.

PS- I do use small rifle primers in all of my 40 reloads.

  4. I haven't practiced much of late and have 2000 180gr. lead bullets that I debated shooting through my Glock 35. I decided it wasn't worth it and have kept shooting my plated bullets through it. I have debated on an aftermarket barrel but the factory one shoots so well I don't see the point.

  5. A good bowhunt in West Texas with friends.

I could go on and on but these are a few of Texas' little pleasures.......

  6. Well, I have agreed to sell my P16 to another shooter. <_< I have bought a new bow and decided that I couldn't buy the bow unless I get rid of something else. P16 has to go. I will still have my G35 that I have been shooting for the last year. So...I still don't have the want to and have started getting rid of shooting gear. I really hope this isn't the end of my competitive shooting career. Hunting has been going well. I will be missing my local match this weekend to bow hunt.

  7. Bought a new rest and new sight for my yet to arrive new bow for about 50% of new. :) Gotta love ebay. I try not to go there that often. Always find something I "need".

  8. I have a P16 Limited. I am looking for an honest value of it. Here are the specs

    -Stainless

    -Dawson mag well

    -Kart bushing barrel

    -Dawson Extended mag button

    -New Ed Brown extractor

    -HiVis fiber-optic front sight

-4 high caps with Dawson base pads

    -extra followers and mag springs

    -original factory barrel

Guns shoots and functions great. Why am I selling it? Have kinda gotten out of shooting, when I do shoot, I pull out the G35. I want a new hunting bow. So...P16 has got to go.
