  1. Trigger glockworkx fulcrum

    Dawson adjustable sights

I made my own grip tape using skate tape

    Extended steel guide rod

    13lb recoil spring

    Jager lightened extended striker

Don't need a magwell if shooting for fun but if you want a small one look at Dawson.

  2. Just FYI, my experience with STI off the shelf guns suggests you have about a 50% chance of the gun functioning properly out of the box. Either plan on having it tuned up by a gunsmith or just spend the extra to have a custom gun built. If it works right out of the box, you can consider it a pleasant surprise.

I had one about 2 years ago and it would not run well out of the box. I got frustrated and didn't want to put money into a $2000 gun for it to run I thought that was horrible. So sold it to a friend that sent it in but when I have the money i will just get a custom.

  3. First wanted to say I had a Edge for a short period of time really didnt give it a chance and also had issues with it so I sold it to a buddy of mine that really likes it after buying mags that work lol. So I was talking to a guy at a match about the Edge and wanted to see what you guys think about it accuracy wise compared to a Custom or others? I wouldnt mind to try another one down the road after I get out of my rut but is it good enough to buy one get a trigger job and other limited parts or go full custom? Iam just bored so I wanted to talk guns with you guys because my wife is tired of hearing me talk about them lol.

  4. A 13lb recoil spring and steel guide rod is the ticket.

I remember in past threads you were using an 11 pound spring. Why the switch? I only ask because I was planning on trying an 11 as well.

The 11lb spring I used in 2010 and loved it but everyone was saying I could have a fire out of battery so I put my 13 back in after a season with the 11lb. For me the 11 shot flatter so my double taps were easier to make A hits at speed. I had a Vanek Classic Grandmaster trigger kit with a Jager extended striker and not one malfunction or light strike with any kind of ammo.

  5. Thanks. Judging from your screen name, I trust you're an expert but I gotta ask? Why the CZ?

This is personal preference but if you ever shot one you would be answering your own question lol. The grip is very comfortable, extremely accurate, the weight of a all steel gun makes recoil feel like a .22, trigger is awesome so on and so on. I love my G34 but the CZ takes the cake for me.

  6. You change guns more than underwear! I thought just 6 months ago you didn't like your 2011 because of the balance, so you got a CZ Tac Sport for limited? :surprise:

You don't know any 6 inch shooters at your local match?

That would be a better process than asking a buncha dudes on a forum, where opinions run rampant.

I had to sell my old guns now Iam able to buy new ones so that's what Iam doing nuff said but thanks for the help. The CZ will be setup up also as many of us I like different guns.

  7. Iam about to pull the trigger on a Akai Custom but need some help picking one. Some say the 6in then some say a 5inch full dust cover. Iam at the point where Iam just going to order one and just shoot it but I would like to pick the right one. I know everyone is different but anyone have any experience with these.

  8. I just bought one myself recently, from what I have been told the factory recoil spring is a 14lb so I ordered a 13lb. A 13lb main spring should do the trick. As for ammo the ammo you have is perfect and only takes factory length ammo like you have. Don't load any longer because they won't fit in he mags or will get hug up in the mags. Contact CZ Custom and they will help you with all of your questions.

  9. Got to shoot my TS .40 again today and the extended mag release hurts my support hand palm anyone else have this problem. During recoil it really digs in. I really enjoy shooting it besides this.

  10. Why is the TS limited only and not Production? My very brief knowledge of uspsa is that 9mm scores minor only....which is why most Limited shooters shoot .40..... So I am a little confused. I know this SAO CZ can only shoot limited, I am going to have the trigger changed back to DA/SA so I can shoot production.....am I missing something?

The TS is SAO and not allowed in production. Single action guns cannot be used in production. Hope this helps.

  11. A friend's wife that we shoot with seems to engage her safety on the reload. (1911 platform) I think she tends to hit it when she shifts her grip to engage the mag release. She loses seconds on pretty much every reload, but the grip shift is so natural she can't seem to break the habit, despite him putting on an extended mag release, etc. Maybe something to look into? Hope it helps...

It does have a extended mag release. I don't have a problem with my Tactical Sport but I guess I brush up against the safety just enough to engage it but its easy to engage compared to my other guns with safeties.
