Late to the party, but I have this: Safariland 7377-819-411 7TS ALS Concealment Belt Slide Holster Model 7377 It fits both my 9Pro CORE and 9Pro....both 5" guns (w/o thumb safety) with no problem...its an ALS however.

Ok, same for the rear? Basically I bought a set of sights based on what the company listed as a height for their rear sight...however when I got them I measured the rear sight .055 lower hence my front sight is wrong and the gun shoots 6" low at 25yds. They advised they measure the rear sight "as it appears to the shooter"...the CORE has a little step down from the top of the slide in front of the dovetail to behind the dovetail...about .056 worth. So they are correct that as it appears to me what the website says its measured as, but that's not the same plane as the front sight and I should have gotten a much lower fr sight. I'm leaving details out obviously, the company has excellent products and their tech/CS responds in minutes to emails and phone calls...not trying to bash them in any way. I'm just making sure I'm not going crazy. I know now to ask more questions before ordering.

Question about measuring the height of front and rear sights on a semi auto. Where do you measure from when determining the height of the sight itself? I have always used the top of the slide...zero'd my mic (digital)...then measured to the top of the sight...keeping it along the same sight plane. Ive used this to determine what front sight to get based on the rear sight height and has worked so far. Thoughts?

Yeah it works great on mine....I guess not an issue anymore since Dawson just released new rear sights. Now I can just get a lower profile set. Figures. Thanks for all the replies.

OK, here's what I got so far in case anyone else needs to know. The c.o.r.e.'s front sight is .315 tall...measured with a digital mic. I picked up a Blackhawk Serpa for the G21 and a 5.11/Blade-tech "thumbdrive" holster for the 5" pro....the front sight fits fine in both with room to spare in the blade-tech. I took the chance on Michaels info...much appreciated. Hope this helps someone else looking.

Michael, do the sights on the 4 1/2 inch fit inside the sight channel ok? I called blade-tech and they told me the core would not fit the thumb drive for the 5 inch pro. I didnt want to waste the money if there was a chance of not fitting. I got the gun today and its nice and snug in the serpa, but would rather have the thumb drive if it would fit. Im wondering if the extra half inch would still fit down the sight channel ok on the thumb drive. (amazon eh?) Ken thanks, I will give them a look too.

Picked p a serpa for the G21...still waiting on the gun to test fit. The front sight on the core best I can tell is about .330. I know it fits most "friction fit" holsters, but needed something with a mechanical release. Dawson and Scott Warren both advised the have nothing for the c.o.r.e....Dawson has a c.o.r.e. in the shop and I think they are working on it.

It is, and the dovetail is a different measurement too I believe. Great idea to contact Dawson...going to call warren as well. They are probably already working on something. Thanks again for the info.

Yeah, they are stupid huge. I would pretty much have to open the sight channel to use it. Im not putting a RDS on it, but it was the only 5" available to me. SW wont fill my LE order from May 2012 for the regular 5". My use is the same as you..3 gun, but i need a mechanical retention. I might have to fashion a thumb snap on a blade tech or such. I appeciate the help.

I dont have a mic handy, but best i can find is that the front sit is .330" tall from the top of the slide. Its huge. Looking at my other als, my G34 has a .215 warren tac sight and there isnt a ton of room left over. I dont care about the rear sight because i can notch out the top of the holster. I use one for my G34 for three gun...am now looking for one to fit a 5 inch c.o.r.e. The 2 inch drop works great and the ALS thumb release is quick. Copsplus has em for $78 I took the guard off and used small spacers to move it out a bit...1/4" or so.

Anyone find/use one? Specifically a "duty" type one like an ALS? I know safariland makes one for the non-core 5 inch, but dont know if there is enough meat inside to relieve it for the taller sights. Where I shoot mostly I need a mechanical release and I know blackhawk glock 21 model will fit, but not my first choice (may be my only tho). Just curious what y'all are using. Not interested in the speed shooter type holsters and know im limited until someone makes aftermarket sights for it. Thanks in advance.

Wally world....RV section....stair tread grip tape...12 bucks for a roll...lasts a long time and super sticky.
