Hi All
I'm going to start loading .40 for limited. What primers are you using? I have both Winchester small rifle that I use for 38 SC and Federal Small Pistol Match that I use for 9mm. Which should I use?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I use it for 38 SC as well. I have a ton of it that's why I wanted to use it for .40.

Is anyone using IMR 4756 to load .40 cal?
Thanks

I have big wide feet...I've used cross trainers, cleats, turf shoes etc. the most comfortable multisurface shoe I've come across so far is the Oakley Assault Boot.

I was going crazy until I did this exactly, do not mess around DO IT:
Quoted from post #8, Props to RedRyder!!
"The way to get the smallest OAL, from my experience, is to:
A. Use the U-die by EGW (http://www.egwguns.c...reloading-dies/ ) ( tighter seating )
B. Have a separate bullet seat and crimp. (easier to make small adjustments )
C. Use the Whidden Gunworks 650 toolhead with clamp parts installed from UniqueTek ( http://www.uniquetek...6/product/T1333 ) ( eliminates toolhead movement )
D. Use a good caliper and use it consistently
E. Make sure your shell plate and dies are tightened properly
F. Use the Redding Competition Seater die ( http://www.midwayusa...r-die-9mm-luger ) (easy to make very small adjustments)
G. Use the same head stamped brass
H. And most importantly be sure you stroke the 650 handle smooth and consistent. ( sloppy stroke = sloppy results )
My OAL is +/- .001."

Hi All,
I usually shoot open and I'm going to shoot production for a while and was wondering what recommended mods I should do to the gun.
Thanks,

I use .223 shell plate for 38tj or 38 supercomp.
Yes, Dillon said it's the #3 shell plate, I'm now using the #5 (9MM)!!

Thanks!
I just called Dillon and ordered the correct shell plate and a new ejection wire!

Hi All,
I'm having a problem with the finished rounds dropping into the bin. Every 5th round or so jams against the guide rod (wire) and either gets stuck or flings out onto the ground. I've tired bending the rod but haven't gotten a consistent fix.
Any suggestions/tips/tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

I use 4 x 140 and 3 x 170. I also bought the Dawson mag tuning set after trying to send mine away to be tuned. I called all the major tuners who were all very busy, so I figured I'd give it a shot. It was a little scary beating on your $$$ tubes with a hammer at first!!! I couldn't believe how out of spec the tubes can get! Out of tune mag tubes will create a real mess.

You have to clean the comp???

Hi All,
A new Millennium Two chrono is on the way to my house. As I've never used a chrono before, are there any set up tips that I need to know or is it just set up-shoot-read kind of thing?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I'm shooting a similarly set up Bedell Custom in 38SC. My load is as follows:
MG 124gr JHP
9.0 gr IMR 4756
1.250 OAL
Win Small Rifle Primers
Nice flat shooting round.

That happened to me 3 times last night. It was my first ever match. 2 of the times were on the same stage, and the same position. There were 3 targets at different positions, was supposed to start from left to right with 2 shots each, and then reload and 2 more each from right to left. I got my first hits fine, reload didnt seat the mag and straight to the floor, I grab another and same thing, straight to the floor. It was a low round count stage so I only had 3 mags on me. I had to ask the RO if it was ok for me to pick one of the mags up to finish the stage.
I totally had to do the Squat..grab...reload method and it was at an all qualifier match!!!! Really throws off the rhythm!!!!
BTW: Great video, thanks for sharing!

I learned very quickly when I purchased my first progressive press that one has to clear all the stations and start from scratch when clearing an obstruction/jam.
1+..Clear the table!!!

This case holds my two open guns and locks with two pad locks...its a bullet proof case system. I have a second one for ammo.
