  1. Thanks. About 10K was my thinking as well. It's a little frustrating the owner's manual doesn't address that issue.
  2. Thanks for the reply. The Springfield people don't seem to look past the "here's how you clean the gun" part in the owner's manual.
  3. If you want a better trigger for your XD or XDM, get over to Daniel Batchelor at Powder River Precision (I believe he's out of Baker City, Ore.). He tuned the trigger on my XDM and I highly recommend his work.
  4. I've been shooting a .40 cal. Springfield XDM in practical pistol for approaching two years now. Does anyone have any advice about long-term maintenance, specifically about when to replace springs? I estimate I am closing on 8,000 rounds with this pistol and it's still working fine. I'm not a fan of the "shoot it 'till it breaks, then fix it" school.
  5. Well, I'm way behind on this thread, but here goes. I had a Powder River trigger upgrade done on my XDM and I have been very happy with it. Dan B. himself did the work after we met during a match at the LaGrande (Ore.) USPSA club. As far as I'm concerned, it was money well spent.
