ZR Tactical guide rod works also, it's only steel though and not tungsten. https://www.zrtacticalsolutions.com/shop/walther-ppq-uncaptured-stainless-guide-rod/

Thanks, I ordered one so we'll see how it goes. How deep did you drill the hole with 1/8" bit?

Great...now, where to buy one? The only place I found was Speed Shooter Specialties and all of their M%P rods are out of stock. The one from Walther is $125 which seems silly. Any other choices?
That's where I bought mine so no idea where else you can find one.

It will work in the Q5 plastic gun. I ran a full length tungsten guide rod in mine with a 13# wilson flatwire 1911 spring. Worked great, shot pretty flat.
It will not work in the Q5 Steel Frame gun.

My local dealer has 2 of the 507c in stock. I use one on my CO gun and am really liking it for the past 3 months.

Any opinions on the Taylor Freelance +6 vs. the TTI +5 extensions as far as reliability is concerned?
I have been running the tti with the spring it comes with from www.makereadyproshop.com and get 21 reloadable in all of my mags. Just plug and play, so far so good.

No. The factory gr is larger than .270.
I was playing around with a 1911 guide rod and rounded the head and drilled a 1/8" hole in the end. Used a 1911 recoil spring for testing. Did not fire it, but just on the bench and seemed to work fine. Ordered a glock guide rod and ismi flat wire spring. All you need to do is drill the 1/8" hole at end.
Can you post a link to which guide rod and spring you ordered? I'm not familiar with glock parts.

The non functioning trigger is a concern. Not sure that it is worth cutting a couple of pounds on the trigger pull and risking a dead trigger on a poor grip.
Just curious if you are only running the stock trigger.
Assuming you have done some polishing as well.
I had the issue with the spring kit and not being able to fully depress the trigger safety, decided to stay with the stock springs and have never had an issue. It does reduce the poundage of the trigger but at the fast pace that you will run the gun you are never going to notice the 1-2# difference.

Clean work. The replaceable panel on the Steel frame leaves more options for unique hand configurations. I will design some grips for it probably.
Thanks

Holosun 507c is has been working nicely for me. Auto sleeps after 10 minutes, shake awake technology.

Sides sanded down flat, then sanded and removed a little of the hump on the back and stippled the whole grip. Makes the grip feel similar to the small panel of the poly q5.
I probably could have went further on the sanding part to get them a little thinner but I didn't want to go too far as replacement grips aren't available yet. Next step I may take is to sand down a thumb groove to the mag release.
