  1. Everyone seems to be training up for the more imaginative carbine scenarios, me too. There are a couple more weapons involved though, and some of those odd barricade positons would probably be pretty challenging with slugs or even shot, not to mention reloading a SG from some sort of low crawl.

Are there still as many ants in TX as there are ticks in KY?

Ants....yes. Oh and the mosquitoes should be in full bloom by May as well!

  2. Greg is sadistic! There WILL be awkward positions. If I were you, I'd start practicing every possible position I can - especially the weird ones - now, rather than trying to dumb something up come stage time.

let's see; standing up in a hammock?

The RO at my range was all "what in the hell are you doing?" when I tried to set up my hammock. Any advice on where or how I can practice this?

I kid...I kid! But I did get a WTF from my buddy when I shot laying sideways and on my back the other day. He does not believe that anyone would do that in a 3 gun comp...I couldn't believe he was more of a newb than I am.

  3. Ok I have been placed to find a new Restaurant and I have done it and they have a Full Bar also Montana Mike's Steakhouse 6542 S. Staples Corpus Christi, Texas 361-980-9191 Manager is Larry I told him that there were 25 to 30 shooters at 7:00 PM he said come on we will see you all Saturday let me know if who is going to make so i can get the Number right Thanks to all Mark.

    What?

Why did you find a resteraunt in Corpus? Have I missed something?

  4. We have a multigun match the second Saturday of the month at The ImpactZone located near Monaville (near intersection of 529 & 359)

Typically we have 4 stages. we take rifle out to 100-150, but plan on going longer so I can "tune up" for the LauRue Match.

If you know Fred Q he normally comes down from B-CS each month.

The PSC match is on the 30th, Texas South Section website has details

    Cheers,

    Bob W

Match Director, SO, Score Keeper, etc, etc.

I plan on making one of those over at the Impact Zone (Mother in law lives in Katy, gives the wife something to do). I cant make it IN Feb. but I plan on March and April.

what kind of round counts do you need over there?

    Thanks

  5. WooHoo I am in too!

Nothing like being able to sleep in my own bed AND shoot the best 3 Gun of the year!

I have a 1000 yard range less than 30 minutes from the match site and I will be hosting a little warm-up shooting on Friday before the match and we will have a few LaRue targets along with some other toys...

Im in...mind if I tag along the weekend before...looks like theres quite a few local folks...I'd like to get with someone and get some tips/practice in before the match...This will be my first. Unless I find another before may.

There are monthly matches in Austin, Copperas Cove, Pearland, and at the Impact Zone around Hempstead where you could get some good practice in before May.

I'll have to look into a few of those. I've heard of the one at Impact Zone...second saturday right...wont be able to make it in february.
