Greg is sadistic! There WILL be awkward positions. If I were you, I'd start practicing every possible position I can - especially the weird ones - now, rather than trying to dumb something up come stage time.
let's see; standing up in a hammock?
The RO at my range was all "what in the hell are you doing?" when I tried to set up my hammock. Any advice on where or how I can practice this?
I kid...I kid! But I did get a WTF from my buddy when I shot laying sideways and on my back the other day. He does not believe that anyone would do that in a 3 gun comp...I couldn't believe he was more of a newb than I am.

Get another gun or dip your ammo in A-1 sauce. No whining!!!!!!
I've found brass is much better with a creamy pesto or some Franks Red Hot...
-
NO WHINING!
I mean HELL yeah...now I get to go buy a new light and mount to slap on my rifle! wooohooo!
-
what are these carts everyone's talking about...and damn looks like I might need to find a light now too...damn.

Are weapon lights GTG for this match?
Holy shnikes...will there...is it possible that there will be a need for this? Also what are the rules for spectators?

Any news on round counts yet?
I am interested in this as well...
So far I have a "LT3G" stash of 400 rifle and 150 pistol...I'm gona grab 100 more rifle to practice with, I need a few thousand more pistol to practice with...and then I still need to get my slugs and shot...

-
I think theres a pic of that somewhere isn't there?
-
oh...so the turning the rifle 90* L or R isnt gonna be the hard part...yeah I'm gonna have to google this upside down and backwards thing...
-
You may want to practice turning your rifle 90 degrees left and right to see where you need to hold out to 200 yards. Roll over prone.
You also may want to practice off hand shots with yer rifle out to 150 yards.
A little intel...
Can someone elaborate on this a little more? I feel I may be in a little over my head...but I tread pretty damn good.

This may be a stupid question but 10rd mags for a single stack 1911...are they OK? I know 170mm OAL but I can't find anywhere that says how long a 10rd mag is...170mm is approximately 6.6in. right?

We have a multigun match the second Saturday of the month at The ImpactZone located near Monaville (near intersection of 529 & 359)
Typically we have 4 stages. we take rifle out to 100-150, but plan on going longer so I can "tune up" for the LauRue Match.
If you know Fred Q he normally comes down from B-CS each month.
The PSC match is on the 30th, Texas South Section website has details
Cheers,
Bob W
Match Director, SO, Score Keeper, etc, etc.
I plan on making one of those over at the Impact Zone (Mother in law lives in Katy, gives the wife something to do). I cant make it IN Feb. but I plan on March and April.
what kind of round counts do you need over there?
Thanks

WooHoo I am in too!
Nothing like being able to sleep in my own bed AND shoot the best 3 Gun of the year!
I have a 1000 yard range less than 30 minutes from the match site and I will be hosting a little warm-up shooting on Friday before the match and we will have a few LaRue targets along with some other toys...
Im in...mind if I tag along the weekend before...looks like theres quite a few local folks...I'd like to get with someone and get some tips/practice in before the match...This will be my first. Unless I find another before may.
There are monthly matches in Austin, Copperas Cove, Pearland, and at the Impact Zone around Hempstead where you could get some good practice in before May.
I'll have to look into a few of those. I've heard of the one at Impact Zone...second saturday right...wont be able to make it in february.
