  1. Thanks for all the responses, guys!! Yes, i will definately be going with one of the "performance pack" guns from Brazos. The main reasons for a light rail is that i want this gun to perform 2 duties: 1) night stand gun with attached light / laser 2) IPSC gun. I looked at the SVI's but they are pricey, hence was wanting to stick with STI...
  2. This might sound like nit picking, but here goes anyway... I want an STI Edge. Love the full dust cover. However, I also want a light rail. Is is possible to have a gunsmith "mill" in a light rail? (i was looking at the edge's dust cover and it seems to be radius'ed slightly, not sure if it can be done?) Of course, the STI tactical 5.0 is vertually the same thing, but does not have that full dust cover...
  3. Hi there fellow readers... How's this for a first post to stir the pot? Git your flame throwers ready As I browse the pictures of the fabulous limited guns I cannot help but think that the glock model 24 with it's 6 inches, longer sight radius, light weight etc would tick most (if not all) of the boxes for the serious limited shooter. Here is a comparison to the de facto STI / SVI lightened long slide that seems to be all the rage: 1) 6 inch barrel? check 2) longer sight radius? Check 3) lightened slide? yes sir - big cutout on top of slide 4) polymer grip for light weight? Check 5) low bore axis? Yip Only downside is maybe the trigger which is not quite 1911 but can be improved for $100 or so... So for approx $700 I have 90% of the gun that the pros spend $4000 on? Of course it would help if I had the skills they do
