I've been reading some posts, and a couple of folks said they crimp to -.002 or -.003. Am I right to assume this means bullet+case thickness X(2) -.002? Surely you'd have to sort case brands to do this. Is it that critical? I seem to find alot of conflicting info on preferred crimp on 9mm. From a crimp that doesn't deform the bullet at all to what is suggested above, which sounds tight.

I'm shooting 9 minor. Is this a better projectile than the 124 or 147?

Anyone use this bullet for IPSC or USPSA? I cannot find any load data for it.

Got it guys. Thanks. I had to file the tang of the dovetail on the sight as well as the bottom. Just the bottom wasn't enough. Perhaps the slot in my 17 is tighter than most..,heh..heh...there must be a joke in there somewhere.

Just got these today for my G17. The front was easy, but the rear is very tight-too much so to hammer home. Do I file? Sight or slot?

You sound like just the guy I'm looking for! Do you find the IFP's to be more accurate than the 124 FMJ's? What mods does your 17 have? What division are you shooting? Thanks for the replys.

I'm sure this has been discussed to death, BUT... I am currently loading 124 MG fmj and need to order more. I've read alot of posts that seem to favor 147's. I shoot a Glock 17 in USPSA production. Also, I use TG and 231 mostly. I just can't seem to find a load that beats factory for accuracy. Suggestions?

I, too am looking for 124FMJ loads for a 17. I'm experimenting with 231 and Silhouette, but am a noob. I KNOW there are Silhouette fans out there. How about some help??!

So, Is it the bullet then, that determines the OAL rather than the powder charge? I am working up some test loads for my G17 with Silhouette, 231, and Universal. I WAS going to vary the OAL using 1.10,1.12, and 1.15. Should everything be 1.10 with the MG 124 JHP? BTW, the OAL of the factory 115's in Fed or Blazer is 1.152.

I sent this e-mail to MG. I have your 124g FMJ's in 9mm. What are the min-max recommended OAL's? I got this response. hi frank, we don't have reloading data but a case gage will give you the max oal. norm Can you tell me what they mean?

What are your fav loads with these? I'm sitting on 3K. You might want to narrow that down to what kind of gun, Major or Minor etc.... G17 minor
