  1. cguy1177 - that means that the vibrating device would have to be attached to me somehow, from the shot timer. After it goes off, I wouldn't be free to run around.

It has to be a strobe, or some kind of light.

ok, I had thought the RO could press it against the back of your neck/head and you would feel it then start the stage.

I'll ask my friend who has a similar problem though I think he uses a shot timer with a strong speaker that creates a vibration and has it put up against his neck/head.

I can see why you would want the strobe.

  2. SDc,

Dave/CGW mentioned to me that he might have an option for adjustable sights in the next couple of months when I called down there a month ago. Did he mention anything about them to you? Sure would be good to see some, maybe they got delayed or aren't working out I guess.

  3. CFE pistol has only become available for purchase in the last week, so as you probably know there is not a lot of data other than the published and it may take a while.

I'll be working up my own loads this week with xtreme 124FP.

You have't said what power factor you're looking for, but I would do a ladder with the starting FMJ load at the Hogdon recommended 4.6, 4.8 and 5.0 and chrono and shoot for accuracy/power factor to find what you want/like/functions well just like any other work up. Your results are going to depend on what your gun likes, barrel length/tightness etc. etc.

Look forward to sharing/seeing your data!

  4. Mine showed up.

Initial impression - grabbed 100-ish Fiocchi small pistol primers after putting batteries in it and making sure it vibrates.

Juggle tray, which requires you to partially put the lid on, or you risk primers falling out one of the end holes, close lid rest of way, insert into handle, click tube in place.

Note that you can't really use it to fill multiple pickup tubes, unless you want to pop out the pickup insert (as the primers would otherwise be upside down).

Primers are falling sideways into tube (correct tube, and correct slot 'aimed' at tube) and getting stuck at the hole down into the tube. Nice. Juggle it a bit to get one to un-jam itself, see more, all sideways in the tube. Pull it apart, flip tray over, grab pickup tube, load press primer tube, throw Vibra-prime to the side.

Pick it up again after loading, see one primer still jammed in tube.

Not sure if I may need to hog out the topside opening a bit, or if this is typical.

Any tips on getting this thing to not be an overpriced paperweight? ;)

Mine needed a little polishing to work smoothly but runs great now. I think I used a qtip with some mothers metal polish on it in the drop hole.

I actually load directly into dillon spp tubes ( 8 ) and then start my loading session. works great, not sure what you're saying about the upside down part?

try polishing it up/smoothing any burrs/plastic flashing.

  5. also bear in mind that typically FP's are shorter bullets than RN so what's important for chamber pressure is really 'seating depth' of how much case volume is available. For a shorter bullet (FP) with a shorter OAL this can be the same as a longer OAL with a longer bullet. Hope that makes sense and gives some peace of mind.

  6. Check your FP channel as noted. SP01 tactical with CGW ext. FP and 13lb mainspring lights off my tula SPP 100% and even ignites wolf SRM's.

not sure about any diff. between CGW ext. FP and CZC. I Load on a 1050 with primer depth adjusted to work. I have heard of some wolf/tula lots having QC issues ( missing anvils on 1% etc )

  7. I loaded 10-15 KVB-556M just to see and they went off without a hitch in a 13lb mainspring SP01 tactical with CGW extended FP.

Not a thorough test but impressed me enough to consider the option if I had to use them. An extended FP would probably be a must.

  8. I don't own it and I'm not sure how tall you want it but this goes to 60"

I do own and use it's little brother as I almost always chrono from a bench and can handle the occasional string of 10 while crouching.

  9. I just got the red/green model and it does not work with my laserlyte target :( bummer on that.

the red laser will work on the laserlyte targets ( both models ). Check out the manual, pg. 16 on

inverting the prep and shot indicator lasers to switch the red and green functions. hope that helps.

  10. I have been reading that Glock is shipping gen 4 guns with the factory beavertail extension included with the other interchangeable grips. So does anybody know if a grip force adapter is legal for SSP?

Based on the wording in the following web page, I would bet that the Grip Force beavertail Adapter is not legal. Only the factory one for gen4.

Maybe you could give them a call? A similar question has been posted on the official IDPA forum for over a month and a half with no response.

  11. Well, I left the initial contact via the Dillon website "contact us" site. I told them what the problem was and the part number i needed. I received an autoreply from Dillon Help stating they were behind. I replied again with the part number and problem as well as shipping info. The second contact was a couple days ago. Guess I'll just wait and see.

Oh, you probably should have gone with the technical help email. Your 'contact us' email will probably make its way to the right person, but you may want to resend directly to the technical support.

  12. I tried to call for two solid days last week with nothing but busy signals so finally sent an email with warranty parts replacement info. On 3/20 i received an auto email response stating they received my email. Nothing since. Ideas?

My email took about 7 working days and then they responded that they were sending the parts to fix and then shipping

took about a week. Got them yesterday, excellent service given how slammed they are!

Definitely give it some more time.

Seems long to you but it's only been 3-4 ( depending on what time of day you sent it ) full working days for them, right?
