Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I loaded up various charge weights of w231 with these bullets, go my chrono and headed to the range for some testing. Gun xdm 40 Federal brass Wsp Oal 1.125 5.5 gr 231 H 1043 L 1017 Ave 1030 ES 26 SD 11 PF 146 5.6 H 1100 L 1046 Ave 1070 ES 54 SD 24 PF 154 5.7 gr H 1134 L 1064 Ave 1102 ES 70 SD 26 PF 158 5.8 gr H 1139 L 1111 Ave 1130 ES 28 SD 11 PF 159 5.9 gr H 1146 L 1117 Ave 1135 ES 29 SD 11 PF 160 Bought some clays today and I am going to try it out in the bullets. Going to start at 4 gr and go to 4.4gr. Will post most results later.
  2. A friend of mine order what he thought was (IDP #5)180 gr lead tcfp from Missouri Bullets company. When he received his order he found out that he ordered 2000 (IDP #7)140 gr lead tcfp. He is not interested in reloading these light bullets , so he gave them to me. I can not find any reload data for these bullets. I will be reloading for a xdm 40. I have w231 as powder. Can someone point me in the right direction for a starting load. Also I want to start shooting IDPA this year. Would these bullets be good enough to be competetive or should I try a heavier bullet? Thanks, Rajuy
  3. I dont have a chrono so I do not know the fps, but I did just start loading some LFP from space coast bullets that I m shooting out of my XDM40. These are 180grs and Im using 4.5 grs. of winchester 231. This is a little smokey but I like them.
