  1. Thanks guys! That's what I thought. I am pretty new to pistol shooting and think I am doing pretty well for a guy who's only really been shooting pistols for a few months, because I try not to learn any bad habits to start with. I have ordered Brian Enos' book.
  2. I shot my first match ever at Solano Target Masters this month. The only practice I had ever done before this was dry fire and slow fire at the range. (All I can do really), and I left a little confused about how to transition from target to target. I had always practiced keeping my eyes on the front sight as I swing the gun over to the next target, but I often tend to overswing or have problems stopping exactly where I want. I found in dry fire that it works a bit better for me if I look with my eyes at the target and then swing the gun over to meet me eyes, and then focus on the front sight and shoot. Is this the proper way to do it? It certainly seems better to me. Also, a friend took videos of me shooting all the stages here: http://www.youtube.com/user/dagger10k If anyone wants to look at the videos and give me any advice, that would be appreciated too. I plan to shoot at the next match on the 11th, and I know I've got my work cut out for me. In case anyone is wondering, I am shooting a cz75b in .40 S&W with factory 180 grain ammunition.
  3. Well, I would like to get another slide stop, since I hear that breaks often. Do you know anywhere I can buy all of these things? I think I'd like to get another 16lb recoil spring, since that's what I believe the gun comes with, as well as maybe some lighter ones. They don't sell the 16lb one at czcustom, and neither do they sell a replacement slide stop. (The one that they have is marked for 9mm, will that work in the 40?) Thanks for the help, by the way!
  4. Any particular weights I should pick up? Or should I just get the factory springs again.
  5. Somehow, while dry-firing, the end of my trigger return spring got jammed between the guide rod and the barrel on my new CZ75B in 40 S&W, and broke off. Needless to say, my trigger is just sort of flopping around now. Not so good. So, I need to order a new TRS, but I figure I may as well order some other replacement springs as well while I am it, if that would be advantageous. I am a total beginner when it comes to pistol shooting, so I only have a basic idea what the advantages/disadvantages of different spring weights are. I am not really planning on using this pistol for much competition. I plan to try shooting it in a local match just to get some experience (assuming I get new springs in time), but I am not rich enough to make USPSA or anything like that a regular hobby. So I'm really looking for springs that would be reliable and nice for general purpose use. I was looking at czcustom.com, but I have no idea what to get! Any ideas? Edit: Hmm, I should have posted this in the CZ section. Woops.
